Finding Aurora

Chapter 20

Auroras POV

Once Laura left Jason brought me up to my room so that Evan and Owen could play in my room.

"Wow your room is very pretty" Evan said fascinated

"Yeah it's my favorite" I said

I was so happy that Evan liked my room

"What do you wanna do?" Owen asked

"I just got some new coloring books. Do you wanna color?" I asked them

"Sure" Evan and Owen said at the same time

I was beginning to be able to tell them apart better. Evan was slightly taller and Owen had a freckle by is left eye.

We each grabbed a coloring book and crayons

I drew a bear, Evan drew a house, and Owen drew a dog.

My bear reminded me a bit of my pink one except this one was brown.

"Everything going ok?" Nathan asked walking into my room.

"Yeah Nathan look at my bear" I yelled showing my drawing.

"Wow these are really good" he said happily

Once he left we decided we were done coloring

"Let's ask questions since you are our new friend Aurora" Evan said

"Ok"

"What's your favorite color" Owen asked

"Umm... purple"

"Mine is Blue and Owens is green" Evan said

I nodded at them

"Where is your mom?" Evan asked

I didn't really wanna answer this question. Whenever I heard the word mom I would get uncomfortable. I haven't seen her in years and I didn't fully understand why.

"S-she isn't here" I said quietly

"Why not?" Owen asked

"I don't know" I said with a red face

"Ok do you promise to be our friend forever?" Evan asked

"Yes as long as you want to" I said excited

"Yes" they both said again

"Does your ankle still hurt?" Owen asked pointing at my ankle

"Yeah a bit" I said

We played for a couple more hours until it was time for Evan and Owen to go

I was a bit sad when they had to leave. It felt lonely without them

"Did you have fun princess?" Jason asked

"Yes" I said softly

"What's wrong sis?" Leo asked noticing my quietness

"B-Bubby where is mommy?" I finally asked

All my brothers looked at me then to Jason

"Well princess mom is in a better place right now. She will always be watching over you" Jason said picking me up and rubbing my back

"I wanna see mommy again" I said sleepily

"I know baby me too"

I soon fell asleep in Jason's arms.

Jason's POV

Once I put Aurora to bed I went back downstairs to talk to my brothers.

"Jason don't worry about it she's too young to understand" Damien said

"I know. I just feel bad that she's not gonna grow up with a mother in her life"

I missed mother too. She was an amazing mom until she started doing drugs then she became a monster.

"I'm gonna head to bed goodnight guys" I said

Everyone said goodnight back and I headed up to my room

As I was about to close my door I hear Aurora yell "Bubby" from her room

I went into her room and she was sitting up with tears streaming down her face

"Baby what's wrong" I said picking her up

"I-I want mom"

"You can't have mom I'm sorry princess. Do you wanna come sleep with me?" I asked

She nodded

I laid her down in my bed and she instantly fell asleep

I wasn't too tired yet so I went out to my balcony to think

I wondered what my life could have been like if mom never died but then I would have never been reunited with my brothers.

There's no way I could give Aurora this type of lifestyle where she didn't have to worry about if we had a place to stay at night.

I finally feel alive

I think I have found my happy ending
