Luke was pacing around the park while smoking a cigarette. It was night time and have in the distance you can see Los Angeles. The city was known for many things. But he always thought of it as all the crimes and such that happen around the suburbs.

"What's going on man?" Kyle asked walking over. Luke threw the cigarette on the ground and glared at the younger boy.

"Have you been doing things that I said not to do?" Luke asked and Kyle furrowed his eyebrows

"You're gonna have to be a little more specific." Kyle retorted.

"Do you beat up people in school?" Luke asked and Kyle nodded

"Yea I do it all the time. Why?"

"What the hell Kyle?! You can't do that! You only do that if people start trouble with us!" Luke snapped and Kyle rolled his eyes. Obviously bored with the conversation

"Whatever Luke. Dude you need to grow a pear of balls an--"

"You're out of the group and if you have a problem then you can come up to me." Luke snapped and then started walking away leaving Kyle shocked and angry.

Luke walked into Michaels room and smiled immediately seeing Michael who was playing on his phone.

"Knock knock knock." Luke said while walking in but Michael ignored him. Luke cleared his throat awkwardly

"So in a few minutes we have to go to the rec room thing." Luke said and leaned against the wall waiting for a response. But nothing

"I figured that maybe after we could maybe go hang out at the tree house and listen to music?" Michael finally rolled his eyes

"No thanks." Luke slightly frowned

"Oh wait, just because I said no are you gonna beat me up now?" Luke sighed and walked over to the stubborn boy.

"Honestly Michael I would try to explain the whole situation but you're way to stubborn and still will be pissed at me no matter what."

"Get your ass up and let's go down to this damn rec room and do this stupid fun gaming shit!" Luke said sarcastically but Michael ignored him standing up and walking out of the room. Dragging the oxygen tank behind him

They walked down a few rooms until they reached the rec room. There was a bunch of people in there but Luke just followed Michael all the way to the back corner were a table was at.

"Ok so how does this work?" Luke asked sitting next to Michael.

"Figure it out yourself." Michael muttered harshly. Luke sighed and looked around grabbing two bottles of water and two straws.

"I don't want water." Michael mumbled and Luke rolled his eyes throwing the bottle behind him causing Michael to flinch and Luke grab a sprite instead.

When Luke turned to see Michael's slightly frightened expression his face softened.

"Princess you should understand that I would never ever ever hurt you. Kyle is a douche and I never told him to hurt you or Calum. People were only scared of me because of the people who have caused conflict with me or my friends. If I knew Kyle did what he did, I would have said something sooner. He should be happy I didn't kick his ass last night. I promise you I care for you and I will never let anyone hurt you ok?" Michael looked up and looked into Luke's beautiful blue eyes. Feeling his stomach slightly leap at the feeling of Luke caring about him.

"Alright. I'm sorry for being mean to you all morning." Michael said and Luke smiled

"You have nothing to be sorry for princess." Michael smiled that feeling in his stomach increasing.

"Alright everyone lets get started. Everyone is here except Mr. Clifford correct?" Some snarky lady said and Luke furrowed his eyebrows

"Um he's sitting right here? Wipe that makeup off and you would actually see him." Luke mumbled the last part she looked over and nodded seeing Michael. She wrote something down on a board

"Today we are gonna do this activity where you and your volunteer partner come up and sing a song." She said she looked at the board and called up two people

"Well shit. What song should we do?" Luke asked and they both sat there thinking.

"Oasis wonderwall?"

"How bout I miss you blink 182?"

"Wait what about Dirty Little Secret?"

"Kids in the dark? All time low?"

They both sighed not agreeing on anything. But then Michael got an idea

"how bout Lullabies by all time low?" Michael asked. That's an amazing song

"Yeah. Sure!"

About a few minutes later Michael and Luke were called up

Make it a sweet, sweet goodbye
It could be for the last time and it's not right
"Don't let yourself get in over your head, " he said
"Alone and far from home I'll find you"

Dead, like a candle you burnt out
Spill the wax over the spaces left in place of angry words
Scream to be heard like you needed any more attention
Throw the bottle, break the door and disappear

They both smiled at each other and the patients all clapped for them. Luke and Michael went off and sat back at the table they were at before.

"Michael your voice is amazing." Luke said and Michael replied by looking back with a smile smile but letting out a few coughs.

He definitely shouldn't have sang. It must have been to much for him. Luke's smile immediately dropped and changed to a worried concerned expression.

"Princess you okay?" Luke asked while standing up. Michael started coughing loudly into his hands. He froze when he saw blood.

"GET A DOCTOR!" Luke screamed holding on to Michael. Everyone scrambled away. Michael was holding onto Luke's hand tightly as he continued coughing and hyperventilating.

A doctor and nurses came running out with gurney, lifting Michael from his arms and putting him on the bed. Luke screamed

"I'll be here Michael! I'm not leaving!"

And with that Michael was taken out of the room
