After texting to the girls Kat adds me into a group chat with the other girls and a load of guys who I'm apparently meeting tonight at 'pizza night'. To say I nervous is an understatement, these guys have known each for probably quite sometime. What if they don't like me? What if I embarrassed myself? What if, that's all I can think of right now. I never used to be like this, I actually used to be really outgoing and confident. I went from looser to popular overnight thanks to my high school boyfriend, we ended on good terms but after being abused by my father physically and mentally and then when I first moved out to LA I got into another relationship, however this one ended bad. He cheated on me the whole time we were together and due to all of this I became anxious when meeting new people and insecure about myself.
After spending an hour getting ready I hear a knock on my apartment door. I grab my bag and take a deep breath then open up the door to reveal Kat "Hey girl" "Hey Kat" "Are you ready?" she asks causing me to sigh "Yeah I guess so" I take the keys from the hook next to the door and lock it on my way out "Are you feeling ok?" "Kat is that even a question? My stomach is in knots and I feel like I'm going to throw up" I say as we get into the lift. I press the button for the lobby "Your gonna be fine. Honestly the guys are lovely. You'll be surprised by how alike some of you are and if all else fails just talk about ghosts with them" Kat chuckles "That's not my only interest" I laugh along with her as the doors open up signalling that we have made it to the lobby. Kat and I carry on talking trying to calm my nerves as we drive to a different apartment complex that her boyfriend lives at.
While in the lift on our way up I begin to fidget with my acrylics, now noticing they have started to lift "Hey your ok" Kat takes my hand squeezing it slightly "Thanks" I smile at her and she returned the gesture just as the doors open "Ok come on" we walk down the hallway, felling even more sick with each step I take. We stop finally at a door "ready?" "I think so" Kat opens the door and I'm met with a huge group of people, oh dead god someone please come and save me. A guy with blondish brown hair walks over to us, I recognise this guy as Sam, Kats boyfriend. She's shown me photos of him and her before and she's shown me her other friends Instagrams before "Hey Kat. This must be Rosalie" "Rose is fine" I shake his hand "Well I'm Sam. The girls have said your nervous but please try not to be, we're like one huge family here. The others are in the kitchen" Sam nods over to where the other girls are all standing and laughing "Thanks babe" Kat kisses Sam on the cheek and we both run over to the girls.
"Thank god your here. Brennen might actually shut up now" Xepher laughs "Why what's he been saying?" Kat asks as we both put out bags on the kitchen counter top. Tara clears her voice and does the best impression of a guys voice as she can "Rosalie is so hot I would totally do her" I instantly feel my face turn red with.. I don't know embarrassment I guess. I watch Devyn nudge Tara and roll her eyes "ok ok so they weren't his exact words but that was basically what he was on about" I let out a little laugh as I hear Sam call out to us. We all turn around to see Sam standing up and all the other guys sat on the couches "Girls come on over we're about to play a game" we make our way over to the couch "ok first off Rose this is Colby, Jake, Corey, Brennen, Mike, Aryia, Reggie and Kevin "Hi" I say kinda quietly waving a little "This is the quietest I've seen you Rose. Someone go and get her some wine" Tara laughs. Kat gets up and brings over a glass and a bottle of wine "Here you go" she places them in front of me and immediately I pour myself a glass and chug the drink almost without a breath. I pour myself another glass and take a sip when Corey pipes up "You good?" I look up to see him with his eyebrows raised and a face of concern, but also like he's trying to hold back a laugh "Errm yeah" I say not really sure how to answer that question. Like 'no Corey I'm not ok I'm freaking the fuck out and wine is the only thing that settles my nervous so I'm going to drink this whole bottle by myself' I don't think that's the best first impression I could give if I'm being honest "Rose is it ok if I film for my channel?" Sam asks picking up his camera "Yeah that's fine" I shrug and down the next glass of wine "You know what. I think I'm going to like this girl" Mike says smiling then taking a sip of whatever he's drinking out of a bottle, probably beer or larger.
