~FLASHBACK~

It was your Junior year of high school. You were living with your adoptive parents. You had gotten your first boyfriend. To you, he was perfect. You were this classic goodie-two-shoes dating this kid who regularly got into fights and was known as the bad-boy. But you believed you could change him. But unfortunately, the movies are highly inaccurate, and instead of changing him, he slowly changed you, and you never even noticed. You were constantly angry, defensive, and worried. You started to get annoyed extremely easily. There were red flags everywhere but  you ignored them. Every time he knew a girl who passed yall in the hallway he would lean in and say,

"Yeah, she has a crush on me... she hates you because we're dating."

He told you of his past relationships, thing that no girlfriend wants or needs to know.

"Once I actually fell asleep shirtless at my ex's house and she gave me a bunch of hickeys..."

~First off... Gross... I DIDN'T NEED OR WANT TO KNOW THAT! ESPECIALLY WHEN WE WERE CUDDLING~

Another time he told you about his "friend,"

"She was cold in the gymnasium and took my white hoodie...."

"Ok? And?" you responded

"Well now she's wearing it around and telling people that it's mine and that her boyfriend gave it to her."

"Well, take it back."

"I can't."

"WHY NOT?"

"Because she's, my friend."

"Whatever." And you walk away getting tired of it. But despite all the signs. You were naïve, this was your first relationship and you just kept going back to him, because you had found a sort of comfort in the routine even when he royally pissed you off and blamed you for every argument. You didn't understand how you were supposed to feel. You figured this was normal. Near the seven months mark he cancelled plans with you to go to a birthday party. And you understood that, but what he didn't tell you was that it was at a girl's house. But after that fight he told you it was his best friend who was a girl, and he said

"I let you be friends with Jonathan? Why can't I be friends with her?"

"Because I tell you every time, I'm with him, and we're NEVER alone!"

"But you spend lots of time with him..."

"BECAUSE WE'RE IN THE SAME MARCHING BAND SECTION YOU DIMWIT! I EVEN ASKED YOU IF IT WAS OK IF WE CONTINUED TO BE BUS BUDDIES AND YOU SAID IT WAS FINE! THIS IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT I DON'T CANCEL PLANS WITH YOU TO GO TO JONATHAN'S HOUSE"

"Whatever. You're. just so insecure, it's annoying."

So, you shut up, and even though you started to notice that he was spending a lot more time at this girl's house you didn't say anything.

After eight months, he decided to break up with you, "I just can't do this anymore."

"Can't do what?"

"This. Us. The constant fighting. Your stupid insecurities."

"You know what fine." And you marched out of his apartment and you drove home crying, just wanting everything to end. The next morning you were leaving with your mom and your friend to go to a Shawn Mendes concert anyway. Before you were getting ready to leave, he called you the next morning just to hear you cry over the phone.

"I shouldn't have even called" he spits and hangs up... you check snap maps, and he was at her house. He is RIDICULOUS. He would text you later to blame you for him getting upset and punching a wall after the breakup.
