There Once was a Princess... (Hook x Reader)

Chapter 8

As much as you didn't want to do this you needed to get home... no distractions. You walk to the chunk of ceiling that fell onto Hook, you see him and help him stand up.

"Hook." You let out a relieved sigh

"You are bloody brilliant. Amazing. May I see it? The compass"

You show him the compass and he looks completely awestruck

~STOP ACTING LIKE A PUPPY THIS IS HARD ENOUGH ALREADY~

"It's more beautiful than legend... although it doesn't even come close to you." He mumbles the last part under his breath so you can't exactly decipher what he said.

"Come. Let's go." He insists and extends his hand to you, but you clamp your eyes, not wanting to see his reaction as you shut the cuff and chain him to the wall.

"What are you doing" he questions innocently

You immediately feel terrible and start to feel your eyes well with tears.

"Hook... I... I- I can't..."

"(y/n), look at me."

~That's the whole point! I can't look at you! I feel awful already~ 

"Have I told you a lie? I brought you here. I risked my own safety to help you. The compass is in your hand. Why do this to me now?"

You take one last look into his striking blue eyes, nothing but innocence, and there was a glimpse of something else... of hurt? The tears are now just flowing down your face,

"I just can't take a chance that I'm wrong about you! I'm so sorry."

"You're sorry? You're sorry? I got you here! I got you the compass!"

"I'm sorry I don't want to do this please forgive me..."

"So, you're just going to leave me here to die? Have that beast to eat me, to crush my bones."

You pull your emotions in long enough to defend your new friend.

"He's not a beast. And you're not going to die. I just need a head start. That's all... again I'm so sorry." You turn around and the tears return to your cheeks as you run out of the castle and back to the beanstalk, as you run you can hear the desperate screams of Hook,

"Morgan. Morgan! MORGAN!"

You have to pull yourself together before you get off of the beanstalk. They can't know that you actually started to feel bad for ditching the pirate. Everything becomes a blur as the stalk begins to shake, and you start to fall. Mulan must be cutting it down. You re-grab ahold of the vines and try to climb faster, but there is another beanstalk-quake, and you are once again are shaken loose and this time you caught yourself near the ground, so you jump off of the beanstalk to see Mary Margaret wrestling Mulan

"Stop!" you let out, breathless due to the fact that you just almost died twice from falling to your death via magic beanstalk...  Emma is the first to embrace you,

"(y/n), are you ok?"

"Two earthquakes and a jump from a beanstalk. I think my brain's still rattling around a little." You lightly chuckle

"I did only what she ordered, nothing more than that. Did you get it?" Mulan references to the compass

"Yep!" you respond, showing her the compass

The question that you knew was coming, but wasn't ready to answer came from Aurora,

"Where's Hook?"
