It was almost 9AM and classes were supposed to start but Aizawa was nowhere to be found. I looked out of the room in hopes of seeing his tired body but I was met with something which made me utterly confused.
A yellow sleeping bag was making its way towards me. It was like a dream. Was it some student with a camping quirk? Why was a sleeping bag moving on its own?
As the yellow material moved pass me into the classroom I noticed a few black strands of hair peak out. My confusion was met with the total calmness of the classroom.
What was happening? Is this normal? Why are they all so calm? After taking place behind the speaking stand, the sleeping bag started to unzip and Aizawa's head poked out.
Even through my utter confusion I found Aizawa's action weirdly cute. "Morning class, this will be your teacher for the next two months so do not make me feel ashamed of you. You can introduce yourself." He motioned to me.
And with that he zipped up the bag again and in a caterpillar movement slid to the corner of the room.
I was a little disappointed by his lack of effort into introducing me to the class, but I realized that I would be the one who would do most of the talking and work. Which I did not mind but I still hoped that he would be more friendly.
I took Aizawa's place behind the stand and looked at the students who were attentively watching my every move. "Hello everyone. I'm F/N L/N and I will teach your class as an internship for two months as Mr. Aizawa said."
I took a quick look at the yellow bundle which was moving up and down at the chest area with Aizawa's breaths. Is he sleeping?
"I'm excited to teach you the best I can, so I hope we will make a good team. And to get to know each other a bit, are there any questions you have for me?"
A number of hands shot up but one was way quicker that the others. "Yes, you?" I motioned to the boy whose hand shot up like a lightning.
"Izuku Midoriya. What is your quirk?" My expression saddened. I knew someone would ask that but in the back of my mind I hoped maybe just maybe they would forget. I did not want to scare them and ruin the potential relationship we could make.
The must have noticed my expression because he quickly added. "Or do you not have a quirk? I'm sorry I asked, I didn't want to offend you,..."
Midoriya started anxiously rambling so I had to stop him before he would have a meltdown.
"No, I have a quirk...it's just...let us say that it isn't ideal and far from hero-like like your guys'." Their eyes widened and they leaned in their seats towards me as to being closer to me would get them more information.
"Well my quirk's name is fearful and as you can probably guess it has something to do with fear..." The green-haired boy started furiously writing something down in his notebook which startled me a little bit. What was he writing?
The boy noticed my silence and looked up from his book and smiled. I took that as signal to continue so I started explaining again. "So...basically I can project illusions on a person of their worst fears..." I heard a shuffle of the sleeping bag but shook it off.
I looked back to the kids who were watching me with opened mouths. I hope it wasn't too much for them.
"Ha, so you could make Deku shit his pants from fear?" The blonde boy laughed. Who is Deku and why did the Midoriya boy looked so surprised.
"I- technically...", "Hey, Bakugou don't be rude!" A boy with glasses barked at him. I guess that boy's name is Bakugou then. I will have to ask Aizawa for the list of the kids' names later, so I can learn them.
I do not blame Bakugou for asking this question. Kids are curious about everything and are clueless about social cues, so this was expected. Although he could phrase it more politely. I'm a future teacher after all and I should do my best to educate kids on whatever they are interested in.
"Bakugou, right?" I smiled at the boy but he only scoffed and looked the other way. Midoriya behind him nodded at me signaling that I got it right.
"So Bakugou, your question was a good one. The illusions that I create would do much more than just make someone "shit their pants" so to say." I made a little air quotes with my fingers. "But I think I will stop answering this question here. You do not have to know everything about my quirk." I gave them a polite smile and a wink.
Midoriya started scribbling again and mumbling something. He seemed like he was in his own world so I asked the others for their question. The rest of the class was filled with me answering all kind of questions given by the kids.
Most of questions were easy and friendly like what food is my favorite, what are my hobbies and so on. By a few of them I was taken aback because of their intruding aspects. A question 'if I have a boyfriend' was asked by Denki (whose name I learned when he introduced himself with his question). And the grape boy Mineta asked 'if I would have swimming classes with them.'
Which at first, I thought was a normal question but by the ruckus it created in his classmates and even made Aizawa come out of his sleeping bag, I knew that it was something suspicious behind that question. But either way I could not answer this question because I did not know.
Aizawa was supposed to tell me about my internship and what it included but I just met him like forty minutes ago.
Thankfully, with his warning towards Mineta, Aizawa answered that if fact I would have some swimming classes with them.
The class ended with a ring and as I l learned from Iida, the students started to pack to go to the training grounds.
The rest of the day students were working on strengthening their quirks and that gave me the opportunity to meet some of their other teachers.
I also asked Aizawa in the most polite way if he could give some kind of schedule of the class activities I would be involved in and also a name list. He grunted and told me that he would send it to me via email.
At the time I quickly thanked and went home but now I was wondering how he would send it to me when he doesn't know my email address. But Nezu has it so maybe he gave it to Aizawa ahead of time.
Today I was fast asleep around 10PM, the lack of sleep from yesterday's night must have caught up to me.
It was 3:30AM when a notification sound from my phone woke me up. My email inbox gained another message. It was named 'ID' which confused me at first but as I started reading, I learned that it probably meant internship documents as those were mentioned in the email. If it wasn't for the email address which the mail came from and the logical sense I wouldn't know who sent it to me.
Aizawa must not be the type to care for work etiquette since he didn't greet me or didn't sign his name in the email. The email had only one bland sentence. 'Here are your intern docs, be prepared for tomorrow.'
The end sounded a little menacing but I shrugged it off and went back to sleep to get my full 8 hours of rest. I decided to look at the schedule in the morning. It will just be normal boring classes anyway, I'm sure.
