          you were stuck in bed for two whole days after that debacle. you did manage to get some work done during that time, but you slept through most of it. there were occasional calls from kana and tsumugi, but bokuto was practically blowing up your phone. it truly and unexpectedly made your day.

          school on friday was quite busy. you had tons of work to hand out from the past two days. it happened to be an uneventful day too. kana had given up your plans to help decorate for the open house and now your afternoon was completely free. whether that was good or bad, you couldn't really decide.

          you wandered off campus until you caught yourself walking down to the library. it was so strange having nothing to do.

          you whipped out your phone and looked through your contacts. kana and tsumugi were busy. most of your friends had plans, so you were really short on options. bokuto's name quickly scrolled across the screen. the volleyball team had no practice because their gym needed to be decorated for the open house. what a bad decision. you ran through more of your contacts until you reached the bottom. why did it have to be him?

          after weighing your options, you found yourself at an impasse. calling bokuto would, of course, mean having to spend time with him, but not calling him would mean sitting at home, again, and doing nothing. you cursed under your breath, heaving in before you clicked on his contact and called him

          he picked up quickly and you said hello, but he said nothing back.

          "this isn't (L/n), is it?"

          "what?"

          "(L/n) would never call me first. you're a poser. go away."

           the call ended. you were already beginning to regret your decision. sighing, you sat yourself down on a nearby bench and opened your messages to text him.
