"Ok I'll meet you guys all at the usual table!" Tori waved cheerfully to the gang as they all filed out of acting class to go for lunch

Tori, Andre, cat, Robbie, Rex and beck were all ahead but jade was dragging her feet slowly avoiding contact with them all even beck

"You coming?" Beck asked waiting for her to catch up to him "I'm hungry Yknow" he joked

She didn't laugh with him

"I don't wanna eat with those losers today" she huffed pushing past him so she was between him and the rest of the gang

"Ok that's fair, where do you wanna go then? Janitors closet?" He suggested while heading towards her locker and draping an arm over her shoulders

Beck could tell that something was definitely up with her but decided not to push it while they were A) in the middle of the hall B) walking and C) she was angrier when she hadn't eaten so they both needed to eat

"No. I hate eating in there with all the chemicals, you know this."

"Oh yeah.." beck tried to think of a nice quiet place for them to eat while jade switched it books and got her lunch.

At first he thought the library cause that was a quiet place, but he knew jade would have a mouthful of things to say about the people there. Come to think of it there wasn't many quiet places in this school

The only other place he could think of was the bed of his pick up truck since he had parked farther away in a quieter part of the lot

"Ok I've got an idea, follow me." He said taking her hand and leading her out of the school

"The bed of your dirty red pick up truck?" She said wrinkling her nose and giving him a strange look

"Romantic huh?" He smirked, wiggling his eyebrows

He grabbed a blanket out of his back seat to put in the bed then got him and jade situated

"So, you wanna tell me what's up with you today" he asked softly while they both looked out at the park across from Hollywood arts

"You know me too well beck Oliver" she rolled her eyes

Earlier in their relationship she would have denied anything was wrong but they had finally gotten to a good place where she was starting to be more open with him

"So, you up to talk?" He asked again trying not to be annoying, he could tell that she did want to tell him she just needed encouragement

"My idiot father and my idiot step mother want me and my idiot brother to go to their idiot cabin this weekend cause they knew I didn't have plans so they said there's no excuse to not go. So now my weekend is ruined" She ranted while playing with her rings

"Oh" he frowned "you could've said you had plans with me, you know I love hanging out with you." He suggested smiling at the end of his sentence

"I tried and they said it was just a lame excuse to not go and having stupid 'family bonding time'"

"Well now it's not just a lame excuse. I'll come pick you up on Saturday morning from their house and you'll stay with me all weekend instead"

For the first time in what felt like forever she looked over at him and gave a genuine smile before leaning over to press a kiss to his cheek and then laying back into him

He instinctively put his arm around her to pull her closer before gently kissing her hair

They both sat like that just enjoying each other's company in silence for what felt like hours

"This is nice" jade said out of the blue
"What is?"
"Just sitting here with each other without cat yapping in my ear or Robbie complaining or tori whining or Andre playing his piano"

Beck let out a short laugh, he knew they could only sit for so long before she started complaining about their friends

"Like I said before, I love hanging out with you" he smiled kissing her head again and leaning back against the truck

At the start of the episode there's no bade at the lunch table so here they are
