Bade hidden moments

The bird scene

"Need some help?"
"Yes!"
"Interesting."

Jade ran into to tori struggling on the way to her locker where she met beck every morning

Beck was in his usual spot leaning against the post by her locker with two coffees: one for him and her usual black coffee with two sugars that he picked up every morning on his way to school

"She's so stupid you know that?" She huffed throwing open her locker and angrily taking books out of her bag

Beck had seen the whole interaction happen between the two girls so he knew jade had been unreasonable to Tori

"She's not stupid" he defended calmly holding out the coffee to her

She kept throwing her books into her locker before turning to glare at him and snatching the coffee out of his out stretched hand

"Don't you defend her"

"I wasn't defending her I'm just trying to get you to be nicer to her" he said nonchalantly giving her a kiss on the cheek

"And why should I do that"
"Because she's a student here now and she's in a bunch of our classes so you'll have to get used to her"

"Fine whatever but I won't get used to her. I will tolerate her at the very least" she said slamming her locker and stomping off towards sikowitzs class

"I'll take cat to the nurse and then stop by the dance studio then I'll meet you for lunch" jade said after her and cat had finished their scene. Now jade was standing in the hall with beck and a sniffling cat

The walked to the nurses office pulling cat behind her and thrust her through the door toward the nurse

"What happened?"

"She needs ice sikowitz threw a ball at her face" jade said with a tone to say "isn't it obvious"

"Again?"

Jade was already out to door and on her way to sign her and beck up for couples salsa dancing- well not exactly couples but no one wants to salsa dance with some random person. After she finished she bought her lunch then went to meet Andre beck and Robbie who were deep in discussion about ballet

"Did you sign us up?" He asked leaning over to her and whispering

"Of course. We're going to be the best in that class"

"How do you know?" He asked

"Because all the other couples won't even last a week together"

Everyone had finished sikowitzs strange drive by acting challenge and now they were all sitting waiting for tori to try the bird scene. Beck was sitting right behind jade who was in the front row

"Um can I ask you a quick question before we start?" Tori Asked

"Meuhhhhhhh" jade huffed throwing her hand down onto her lap

Beck leaned forward in his chair to whisper in her ear

"I thought we talked about being nice" he whispered

"You talked about it. Not me. I never fully agreed to be nice, I only said I'd tolerate her" she whispered back, turning her head ever so slightly to see him

Beck leaned back into his chair in defeat. Getting her to be nice would be a lot harder than he thought

"Why can't she just figure it out already?" Jade asked frustratedly while they were in his RV after watching her second attempt at it "it's so obvious"

"I mean.." beck started "I didn't get it at first"

"Yeah" she snorted, remembering his attempts "you begged me to tell you how to do it"

"Technically, you did tell me on your own free will" he smiled remembering back to their freshman year

By the time the need to do the bird scene had rolled around beck had already asked jade out 4 times and nothing seemed to be working

Earlier that day jade had completed the bird scene on her first try because as soon as she finished she walked off the stage and said she did perfectly, which worked well enough for sikowitz

Beck was on his second attempt and it didn't seem to be getting any better for him. Because he had done a couple minor acting jobs before, he was used to asking for criticism after a take so after each attempt he asked sikowitz if he had any feedback which was not the right way to do it.

"Hey jade wait up" 14 year old beck called to jade as they left their improv class the day of his second attempt

"What do you want Oliver" jade asked turning to face him, a scowl already pasted on her face

Beck could tell she was already in a bad mood after sitting through a whole class of kids failing something she got first try, even still, he tried his luck with her "How do you do the bird scene?"

"I can't tell you" she said before turning to walk away

"Hey wait how about this" he said slyly as she jumped in front of her before she could walk any farther

Jade crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow as if to say "go on"

"Either you go out with me-" he started, as soon as he said that she started to walk away "hang on! Or you tell me how to do the bird scene"

"I said I can't tell you" she said stopping to turn back around

His plan had worked

"So" he smirked "then you'll go out with me?"

"What no! All I said was I can't tell you" she said defensively

"Yeah, so if you won't tell me, then you'll go out with me? Like I said" he smiled

He was messing with her head and she did not like it. It wasn't that she didn't want to go out with him, she did, but now he had asked her so many times, she refused to give in and let him win. For now at least. On the other hand though she knew she wasn't allowed to tell anyone how the bird scene worked once she figured it out, her teacher had said so. But then again, when was the last time she listened to a teacher

"Ok fine! To do the bird scene just stop pretending to be some big shot actor and stop asking for criticism every time. Just say you did good and walk away" she explained as she herself walked away from him

His smile faltered a bit

Sure he had the answer to the bird scene now, but his plan had failed and he hadn't won her over

Not yet at least
