Chapter 3

The next day, I was sitting in Shadow's living room. His bed was very comfortable to sleep in. I looked at my phone as I played with my thumbs. I need to dump him. Sonic and I need to break up, he cheated on me and I need to stay strong. Would dumping him over text be wrong? It is pretty harsh. Harsh as it is, he still cheated on me. I don't want to hear his voice, I would probably fail if I did.

I picked up my phone and typed the breakup message. Am I prepared to do this? No, I'm not but it needs to be done. He messed this up because he is still in love with Sally. Sally was always better than me in many ways. She is more beautiful than I am and smarter than me. She is a better leader than I am and.....

I probably should stop thinking about this. I wiped the tears that threatened my eyes. I need to leave him. I believe I do but no matter what, I still love him. Love him or not, he and I can't stay together with him doing this. I never wanted things to come down to this for us. I never wanted him to cheat on me.

"Beep beep!" My phone started to ring. I looked at who is calling me. It is Cream. The rabbit girl is like a little sister. She doesn't know about Sonic cheating on me.

"Hello?" I answered with a tired tone. I wonder what she wanted to talk about. She might have heard from Sonic that I wasn't home.

"Hey, Amy!" Cream said happily. I could sense her adorable smile as a soft one appeared on my face. She is always so sweet to me. Her mother need help me out over time.

"Hey, Cream. What's up?" I happily responded to the young teenage rabbit. I haven't talked to her for a week. I miss baking cookies with her. Maybe we can do that. I really should follow my dream of opening a bakery.

"Sonic was looking for you last night. Is everything ok?" Cream asked me. Sonic was looking for me? Probably because I didn't return home last night. I didn't return because I saw him with Sally.

"I stayed at Shadow's house last night. I saw Sonic cheating on me." I told Cream as I tried not to cry. It was difficult but I managed.

"Sonic cheated on you? Why would he do that? You are amazing!" Cream surprise could be heard. I nodded as if she could see me. I then saw Shadow walk into the room with a plate of food.

"Yea, he did. I feel really hurt right now. Can you make sure that Sonic doesn't know where I am staying at?" I asked her. Cream and Shadow are the only two people I told so far.

"I promise, Amy!" I heard Cream say. Shadow put the plate on my lap. I saw the food was pizza. Cheese pizza to be exact. Cream and I talked for a few minutes. When Cream and I got off the phone, I made eye contact.

"Talking about that Faker again? Don't worry about him. He is a jerk to you, Rose." Shadow said uncomfortably while avoiding eye contact with me. I gave him a soft smile as I put a hand on the pizza. The pizza was warm as if it cooled down a bit from being in the oven. It smelled amazing.

"Thank you Shadow." I told him. Shadow gave me a soft smile as well began to eat the pizza together. My phone started buzzing. I checked who seen who messaged me. I put my phone down immediately after checking. My stomach felt like it sunk. My heart felt like it was torn.

"You ok, Rose? You look upset." Shadow asked me. I looked at him and gave him a nod. I gave Shadow a soft smile.

"I am alright. I think it was a wrong number text." I laughed as I continued eating the pizza. I didn't want to ruin Shadow's mood by telling him that Sally wants to talk to me about something important.
