Ajzaira's pov.

Laila pulled over in front of my house and I smiled at her

"Thank you for driving me home."

"You're welcome." She smiled

"Do you want to come in?" I offered

She accepted and we stepped out of the car

I used my keys to open the house and we stepped in

I was here this morning but I felt as if I hadn't been in this house for awhile

We got into the living room and she took a seat

"Your house is really cute." She complimented

I didn't know if she was saying the truth but it didn't sound like she was lying

After how big and fancy her house was I doubt this little place was cute to her but who knows.

"Let me get you something to drink."

"Uh just cold water." She smiled

I nodded and I walked into the kitchen happy she only asked for water and that was what we had in this house

"So you've been married for how long again!?" She yelled from the living room

I opened the freezer getting some ice out

"A year and two months if I'm correct."

"Wow that's great!"

"Yeah!.." I put four ice cubes in a cup
Then I kept the remaining back in the freezer closing it

I bent down grabbing a bottle water from the lower shelve and I got back up

"How does it feel being married!?" She asked

THUMP!

"Aj is everything okay!" Laila yelled from the living room

I quickly regained my composure picking up the bottle I accidentally dropped after hearing her ask how marriage was

It felt as if everyone knew marriage for me was going wrong and that was why they were asking

But it was just my imagination

Every young lady loves the idea of marriage, leaving her parents house to her husbands house.

But it sounds and feels easier than it is.

"Yeah everything's f-fine." I reassured her

I guess she didn't wait for me to come to her she stepped in the kitchen with a smile looking around to see if everything was okay

"Well?" She proceeded "how is it? Is it great like they say? Is it great like it's in in the books?" She asked

I smiled

"In which book was it ever great?" I asked

I knew all books about marriages weren't always perfect there were struggles a lot

It was bad at the beginning the it got better

But mine was good then it got bad.

"You know what I'm talking about." She laughed

"You guys don't tell it."

I opened the bottle pouring the water inside the cup

"Tell what?" I asked
