Somewhere at a bus stop
"You think Waddles has his family now?" Mabel asks as she and her twin brother, Dipper, wait patiently for the bus.
Dipper, being focused on writing something in his notebook, doesn't answer Mabel as he keeps his focus fixed on his notebook.
"And an oop!"
"Hey! Mabel! Give it back!"
Mabel takes the notebook away from Dipper's hands as she starts scanning it, stopping Dipper from getting it back with her hand.
"You're still doing all of this mystery thingy?"
"I can't help it okay? Ever since our experience with the unknown and mystery of the Falls, I've been in this deep mystery hole that I can't seem to get out of."
"Dipper, we already took care of Bill. So why are you still obsessed with mysteries?" Mabel asked, handing Dipper back his notebook. "If you keep this up you might end up being this weird crazy guy who's obsessed with mysteries. You might even end up locking yourself in the basement of your house in the future."
"Gravity Falls isn't the only place filled with mysteries, for all we know, a mystery could be happening right under our noses." Dipper pauses as he stares at his notebook, tightly holding it in his palm. "Besides, I'm obsessed with these mysteries just like how you are obsessed with those weird sweaters of yours."
"Hey, they're not weird," Mabel complained as her sweater began lighting up. The words Not A Weird Sweater lights up.
The two of them laugh as a bus stops in front of them, a bus leading to Gravity Falls.
Somewhere in the Diaz Household
"Uh! This is so boring!" Star whined as she flips the pages of the book at an extreme pace.
"If you read the pages rather than flipping through them like they are hot pancakes, then maybe you wouldn't be so bored," Marco stated as he sits peacefully, reading a book.
"That's exactly my point, Marco. Reading. Is. Boring! So boring!"
"I don't know what you're complaining about. I'm learning tons reading this myth book!" Marco flips the page on the book, keeping his focus on the page. "Did you know that there's this Emperor called Belos who rules a place called Boiling Isles? It also says here that he is the only one who can talk to titans in that realm! Doesn't that sound cool and informative?"
"Yeah, yeah. Informative whatever. Wait a minute, did you say Emperor Belos?" Star asked as she looked at Marco.
"Yup, the guy who rules a mythical place called Boiling Isles."
Excitement forms on Star's face as she grabs her dimensional scissor that was sitting on top of the drawer.
"What are you doing?" Marco looks up from the book he is reading as he watches Star open up a portal.
"Oh Marco, Marco, Marco. You've been friend with me, an interdimensional being, for a long time now and you think that Boiling Isles is a myth?" Star smirks as she grabs her purse with her wand in it.
"Uhh, yeah? Why?"
"Then let me show you that Boiling Isles is more than a myth! It is real and it is filled with excitement! Let's go!" Star excitingly grabs Marco's hand as she starts pulling him inside the portal.
"Star! Wait!" Marco yelled out as he gets pulled inside the portal, the book he was reading falls to the floor and it opens to a page showing a triangle with eyes, hovering over burning buildings and bowing people.
Somewhere in Gravity Falls
"Look, we don't know where or when or how they will get here, but what we do know is that they will come after Bill." Stanford argued as Stanley sits on the sofa inside the Mystery Shack, drinking a can of beer.
The two of them stopped their investigation in the Arctic Ocean and decided to come home to prepare for the worst, prepare for Bill's return.
"How are we sure that this isn't just like those random dreams you get? And how did he show up in your dreams and not mine? It was my mind that got erased with him."
"I don't know how to explain how he showed up in my dream. But we need to protect Bill's statue at all cost!"
The two of them kept arguing when Soos entered the room. "Uhmm, Mr. Pines'? There's someone out front who wants to see you."
Stanford and Stanley look at each other, giving each other the expression of asking themselves if they were expecting anyone. The two looked at each other before walking outside to see that it was Dipper and Mabel who were waiting for them.
"Grunkles!" Mabel said excitedly as she jumps and gives Stanford and Stanley a hug. "It's been so long! How was your adventure? Did you find anything weird and junk?"
"Did we find something weird? I don't know? Is this weird enough for you?" Stanley laughs as he brings out the head of some fish monster of some sort that was wrapped in green slimy goo.
"End me..." The fish head faintly says as it gasps for air.
"Ooh, that is weird!" Mabel giggles as she starts poking at the fish head.
"You seriously took that home with you?" Stanford asks.
"What? I wanted to show the kids here the weird things we have found." Stanley answered as he and Mabel kept poking on the fish head.
"Did you end your study at the Arctic Ocean Grunkle Ford?" Dipper asked.
"No, not yet."
"Then are the two of you taking a short break from adventuring?"
"If only that was the reason why we have come home."
"What do you mean? Is something wrong?"
Stanford lets out a sigh as he starts wiping his glasses. "Follow me."
Dipper and Male looked at each other while Stanley placed the fish head inside a tank filled with water before he follows Stanford.
"Where are we going?" Mabel asked as she picks up Waddles and starts following Stanley and Stanford, Dipper following behind.
Stanford stops in front of the vending machine as he started punching on the numbers, causing it to open and show a path that leads down to the Mystery Shack basement.
"We're going to visit an old friend of ours."
