Chapter 6: Planning for Defense

-Day 6-

"You're majesty!!"

A knight wearing light armor and a bronze sword hanging on his waist shouted as he arrived at the small castle of their faction.

"Hmm? Why are you in such a hurry?"

The King of the faction asked with a frown on his face as he excused himself from the generals surrounding his throne, which were all discussing on how would they attack the opposing faction.

"Your majesty!! I recieved some news from the camps stationed at the forest!"

The soldier shouted as he arrived in front of the King, kneeling on the floor with one foot to show his respect to the King.

"Tell me, what happened to our forces?"

The King asked causing the soldier to take out 10 letters from the small leather bag on his waste and presenting it to the king.

"The camps were constantly being raided by an unknown group inside the forest. Stealing all of the resources that we have accumulated and stripping the knights of our army naked in the wild. All of them reported one thing and that is they passed out as soon as a cylindrical object suddenly released smoke. Until now, we still have no clues about the thief attacking our camps, your majesty!"

The soldier hurriedly reported with a grim expression on his face as he watched his majesty read the letters from each captain that he dispatched.

All of them saying one thing and that is that they lost all resources and equipment with them one by one after a constant attacks from an unknown force. Starting from morning till the afternoon, each time hundreds of soldiers are left butt naked in the wild.

The worst part of the letter is that rhey have no leads on who or what does the culprit look like since the man carefully planned everything so that they wouldn't be seen.

"YOU INCOMPETENT FOOLS!!!!"

The King shouted in anger as he crumpled the paper in his hands with a large frown on his face.

"I entrusted all of you to carry out one simple mission and that is to gather enough bronze and food for the upcoming war!!! Now look at what you've fools done! We not only obtain anything, but also lost one-fourth of our entire treasury!!"

The King angrily said as he threw the crumpled paper on the Knight in front of him with a large frown on his face.

"Tell me!! Did the Azule Faction also recieved such harassment!?"

The king suddenly asked as he stepped down from his throne, and looking at him straight in the eyes with oppresion.

"N-No, our scouts have said that the Azule Faction camps aren't experiencing the same harassment, your majesty"

The knight reported causing the King to grit his teeth on frustration.

"There is your answer, you imbecile! If they haven't experienced the same harassments then it must be done by them, or another force that have a good relationship with them!! Those damn fishermen dare to steal our resources!!"

The king angrily shouted as he told him his conclusion, causing the Knight to bow his head in understanding.

"Take the soldiers out of the forest and move around it's borders! They're using the terrain against us so don't give them a chance, and march the soldiers to another direction! Tell those incompetent captains about this!!"

The king shouted causing the knight to immediately execute the king's orders as he immediately ran out of the castle in a hurry.

"Shit!!"
