Part 5 || 7 - Dog Sitting

Tom's POV

It was July now. We all attended Y/N's Graduation Party which her dad held for her. I thought I would get her all for myself, but Castillo was invited. It made me blood boil to see him peck her lips or cheeks, or put an arm around her waist or even grab her ass. Yeah, they got into a relationship, can you believe it? It's been like what 24 hours since she bumped into him? She doesn't even come to set with me or go back home.

She deserves someone better than Castillo.

She hasn't been home to meet Timber as well since the day she grabbed her purse. I think she's hurt, I don't know for what, but I guess she is. We had been busy on set a lot, so I didn't get much time with Jade as well. I was wearing my tie for date night as my phone rang. It was Timber's dog sitter.

"Damn it!" I said throwing my phone on the bed, I turned to Jade, "It was Timber's dog sitter, she can't come right now-"

"What? We're cancelling date night again?" Jade asked as she stopped wearing her earring. "No, let me call Y/N, she might be free-" I said but Jade cut me off again, "I'd rather not go to the date than have Y/N over to dog sit for Timber" I furrowed my eyebrows, "What is that supposed to mean?"

She looked at me, "I don't trust Y/N with Timber" I knew she was jealous of how close Y/N and Timber were with each other. "I trust Y/N with my life and Timber's as well. Where is this coming from?" I asked standing up. She scoffed, "We had a bloody fight about her on her birthday. Who tattoos their leg for their best friend with their initials?" she asked raising her eyebrows.

"The fight was not about her, it was about your friends not trusting me, they're your friends, I don't have to worry about what they think. They are the ones putting these stupid thoughts in your mind. And secondly, you make it sound like I'm cheating on you" I said raising my voice a little.

"Tom, we need to talk" Jade said seriously. I walked over to her, "What is it, baby?" I asked politely. "I need you to stay away from Y/N" she said making me furrow my eyebrows. "What?" I scoffed. "You guys are too close, more than two best friends should be"

"Jade, I think I told you how Y/N is one of the most important people in my life. There is no way I'm going to stay away from her. I told you before we got into a relationship, if you accept me, then you're accepting the way Y/N and I are" I said folding my hands over my chest.

"You think I'm crazy, she literally confessed her love for you and I see the way she looks at you-"

"She hasn't been a problem in between us ever. You are the one creating problems right now. And about the love, I think I was clear when I said, 'I don't love her back', you were there as well. She's just sorting her emotions and feelings out. She clearly said that she wouldn't be a problem and she isn't"

"No, I'm not accusing you; you know what, let's not ruin date night. Call her and then we'll leave" she said handing me my phone. I sighed and called Y/N, "Hey, Shorty"

"Hi, Tom" she replied sweetly.

"Are you free?"

"Yes but erm, depends on what you ask, cause Carver-"

"Oh, good. Timber's dog sitter cancelled on us, we need to go out, can you come dog sit for me? Pretty please?" I asked as soon as I heard Carver's name. The far I keep them, the better. She thought for a moment, "Sure, I can come over" she said making me smile.

"You're an angel, darling!" I said happily.

Within 15 minutes, the doorbell rang. The three of us went to the door, I opened the door, "Thank you, Shorty! I owe you one" I said as Jade left the house without acknowledging Y/N. "Don't mind her" I said pecking Y/N's cheek. "Mhm" she said and started petting Timber.
