Morning had come in the quaint town of Rome. The sun was beaming down on the place whilst people went about their everyday lives.

Except for the Cortez mansion.

It was so quiet, that even the creaks in the staircase weren't loud enough to draw attention.

I walked down in some casual clothing and wandered into the kitchen, my growling stomach begging for food.

I found myself getting busy by preparing everyone some breakfast.

I laid out bread rolls, espresso cups and small plates on the table. I put out the jams and knifes and began making some coffee for everyone.

"Mmh, that smells incredible." A husky voice groaned.

I turned around, coffee pot in my hand to see Enzo.

Shirtless.

I gave him a smile.

"Not even back for a proper day and you're already taking care of us all." He said, kissing me on the cheek.

"Good morning to you too." I said, laughing at his antics.

Soon enough, everyone started filing into the dining room and began eating.

It was nice seeing everyone together. The laughs, the smiles. Just one happy family.

After breakfast, everyone went away to work, train or whatever else they could do.

When I went up to my room, I decided I wanted to go into town so I threw on an outfit and got ready.

Just as I grabbed my phone from my desk, I noticed a piece of paper sitting on it.

Be ready at 7, I'm taking you out. Wear something fancy.

I read the beautifully handwritten note and placed it in my pocket.

"Perfect timing to go shopping." I mumbled.

Nonna and Mama insisted that they come with me to select a dress so a few hours later, we all stood in a boutique that had many beautiful dresses on display.

All of them had something I didn't quite agree with, which was a shame seeing as these dresses were stunning. But they didn't scream... Me.

"What about this one?" I heard Nonna say.

I turned around to see her holding a long, green dress.

"Mmh maybe not."

"This one?" Mama said as she held up a black dress.

I shook my head no.

We continued to look around. We even went to other shops.

Finally, we made it to the last shop.

"If we don't find something here, I'm just going to wear something I already have." I announced, my feet tired from all the walking.

"Ti sei perso?" Came a voice.
[translation: are you lost?]

I turned to the left to see a blonde girl, her small figure slightly taller with the heels she had on and a pair of glasses resting on top of her head.

"Questo è in negozio di vestidi, vero?" I asked.
[translation: this is a dress shop, yes?]

"Si, but you don't seem like the kind of people to be shopping in a place like this." She continued.
