Suddenly I hear what sounds like a baby crying
I get down
Cole:What's that noise?
Miles:It's nothing
She gets up and puts on a robe
Miles:Stay here I'll be right back
She leaves and I put my boxers on
She comes back in a few minutes later holding a baby
Cole:You have a baby!? You didn't tell me you had a baby!
Miles:Shh
The baby looks at me
Baby:Daddy!
She climbs into my arms
Baby:Daddy!
Cole:Daddy!? What no-
Baby:Daddy!
The baby snuggles into my neck
I hug her
I'm an only child so I never knew what it felt like to hold a baby
I sit down
I look at her
Miles:I'm sorry I didn't tell you,but I thought if I told you you wouldn't want to be with me
Cole:I've never held a baby before
Hunter POV
A few days later
Coach:Cole get out there!
Cole gets ready to go out on the ice when suddenly we hear
Daddy!
Cole looks into the crowd
I follow her gaze and she's looking at a woman holding a baby
She smirks and goes onto the ice
Hunter:What was that about?
Lilith:I have no idea
Hunter:Have you guys talked?
Lilith shakes her head
Lilith:She keeps avoiding me
After the game
Everyone was getting up to leave
Yvonna and Harper were waiting for me and Lilith
I looked around
Cole was with that woman she was looking at earlier
She was holding the baby
Hunter:What is up with those two?
Scarlet:She didn't tell you?
Hunter:No,tell us what?
Scarlet:That's Cole's boyfriend
Hunter:But that's a woman
Scarlet:He identifies as a man
Hunter:Cole has a kid?
Scarlet:Well it's not her biological daughter but yeah pretty much
A week later
Me and Lilith were at the store when we saw Cole and her girlfriend
I mean her boyfriend
Cole was wearing a Boston Bruins shirt and black shorts and the baby was wearing a Patriots shirt and blue shorts
We go over to them
Hunter:Hey Cole
Cole:Oh,hey Hunter,didn't expect to see you here
She completely ignores Lilith
Hunter:Who's this?
I motion towards the woman
Cole:Oh this is my boyfriend Miles,Miles this is Lilith and my friend Hunter,their on my hockey team
Just Lilith?
Miles:Well it's nice to meet you
Hunter:Nice to meet you too,so how did you guys meet?
Cole:Long story,anyway we gotta go,we just came here for a few things because it's almost time for this one's nap
Cole kisses the baby's cheek and she laughs
Cole POV
Me and Miles start to walk away when Lilith grabs my wrist
Lilith:Cole we need to talk
Cole:Not now
Lilith:Yes now,you've been avoiding me for four weeks now
Miles:Babe you coming?
Cole:I have to talk to Lilith
Miles:Ok I'll take the baby
I give the baby to Miles and he walks off
Lilith:Cute kid,what's her name?
Cole:Dash
Lilith:Dash? Isn't that the name of the blonde boy in The Incredibles?
Cole:Yeah,she said it's his favorite movie so he named her baby Dash
Lilith:Huh,now let's actually talk
