A/N: Hey, guys😁! So guess what? We reached over 200 reads last week!! I was flabbergasted like you guys have been blowing this story up with votes, and I love when I see someone's added it to their reading list. Furthermore, I have a short story to tell. So I watch the Charmed reboot because I like it. Once you stop comparing it to the original, you'll be fine. It's just like how everyone was mad about the Winx show on Netflix, but when they watched it, they liked it. But anyway, I was watching episode 9 of season 3, and the Charmed Ones cousin appears and she is a witch/trans🤯. I promise you guys when I say my jaw dropped because I could not believe it. I was just so happy that I came up with the idea before I watched the episode😌. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the chapter!

"I'm so glad you decided to bring me with you to court," Anthony says excitedly. "I wonder what Gabriel is like when he's in lawyer mode." He looks up and thinks to himself. "Is he ruthless and cold, or is he charming with a hint of arrogance?"

"I'm leaning towards ruthless and cold," I tell him. "He'd have to smile a lot more to be charming, and believe me, that man doesn't smile."

"Ambrose," He groans. "I thought you said you two made up."

"Okay, first of all, we're not a couple who had a fight, so I wouldn't say we "made up." I would say we came to an understanding."

"Hmm." He nods. "You said Julien is gonna be there too, right?"

"Yeah," I turn into the parking lot of the Superior Court of San Francisco. "I basically have to translate and describe what's going on between Gabriel, the plaintiff, and the judge."

"So not only will you be entertained by a gorgeous man, you'll be sitting and chatting with another. I envy you sometimes." He shakes his head and grins.

"Hey!" I put the car in park and get out. "I told you I should've said no, but you were insistent that I take this opportunity."

"And look where it's gotten you."

"Almost fired?" I ask.

His face drops. "No. It's gotten you a front-row seat in court."

"I could've just gotten myself arrested if I wanted that." I shrug.

He sighs and shakes his head at me as we walk in.

"So what is this case about anyway?" Anthony asks. "Oh! Is it a murder?"

I laugh. "No, nobody committed murder. It's a simple civil case. Long story short, an employee of one of the businesses Morgan and Hayes represent is suing the business for wrongful termination."

"That's it?" Anthony asks with a slight grimace.

I chuckle and nod. "Pretty much. Gabriel is trying to prove to Julien that he can defend their company well against potential claims like this. I don't think he'll have to defend them against a murder charge." I quickly think of the chance of that happening. "I mean, if that happens, it might be best for us to distance ourselves."

"I guess I was expecting something more CSI." He says, disappointed.

I give him a small sympathetic smile. "No, unfortunately, real life isn't as dramatic as CSI." I try to think of a way to cheer him up. "We could binge watch season one of CSI tonight."

"Really?" He asks the light returning to his eyes.

"Really. Now just try to stay awake during this because it might be boring, and I'll be talking to Julien most of the time." We are about to walk into the courtroom Gabriel was placed in when I have a quick thought. I grab Anthony by the shoulders. "If Gabriel asks why you are, what do you say?"
