I was just about to tell Ells that I love her but her father decided to call us. "...Well, thanks, Dad," Ells says, hanging up. Thankfully it was a short call. "What did you need to tell me?," Ells asks me. "Um...nothing. Go get ready," I tell her.
She smiles at me and heads upstairs. I take some deep breaths. I then practiced what I was going to say. Ells, I love you. I love you, Ells. Ells, we need to talk. Ells, I've loved you forever.
Ells walks back down the stairs and I drive her to the bar. She walks into the bar. I see her in the window, hugging the man. A sting of jealousy shoots through me. It's up to you now, Ells. It's up to you.
