Chapter 2: Found

Hey, I'm back. 

Incase you can't tell, I've been trying to update every two days. It probably won't stay that way much longer... writers block is setting in. Evil evil writers block. But yeah. Here is the next chapter. 

Masayo's POV 

A few hours later Light's mom and sister, Sayu, came home. His mom was nice and mostly quiet. His sister was sweet but extremely energetic. Sayu's first response to meeting me was to bombard me with questions. I answered the ones I heard but most of them went unheard by my exhausted slow brain. 

"So Masa," Sayu began once she had gotten her first wave of questions by me. "Are you and Light dating?" I choked on air. 

"What?" I asked through my coughs. "No!" 

"Oh," Sayu frowned. "That's a shame, because you're really pretty." 

"Thank you," I smiled. "But I think you're prettier." 

"Wow Light! Masa's nice! Why don't you date her? Or at least invite her over more often!" Light ignored the first question.  

"Yes you are a nice girl," Light's mother smiled. "Just like Kei. How long have you been in Japan?" 

"Um," I thought. "About seven hours now." I replied. Suddenly there was the sound to knocking at the door. Sayu's eyes brightened.  

"Dad's home!" she exclaimed. Sayu raced to the door to let their dad in while Kei, Light and I settled down at the dinner table.  

"Welcome home!" Sayu exclaimed in the other room. 

"Hello, Sayu," their father said.  

"Hi honey," Their mother smiled warmly at him. "Light has Kei and his sister over for dinner." 

"Kei has a sister?" I heard him ask quietly.  

"Yes," their mother replied. "Sweet girl, just flew in."  

I heard footsteps coming into the dining room. Light and Kei turned to greet Mr. Yagami. I turned too.  

Light's father looked over Light and Kei with a smile. But, when his eyes landed on me, he visibly paused in surprise.  

"Nice to meet you sir," I smiled.  

"Um," he paused. "Nice to meet you too." He turned to Light's mother and mumbled. "Excuse me for a moment," before disappearing down the hall. 

Soichiro's (Light's Father's) POV 

When I saw her face I involuntarily froze. I thought it would be harder to find her, and here she was, sitting in my dining room. I excused myself for a moment and ran down the hallway. I looked at the picture of the girl Ryuzaki had given me just to make sure it was the right girl, then I tapped the belt buckle twice like he had instructed.  

After a moment, my phone rang. I picked it up. 

"Hello?" I asked, though I already knew who it was.  

"Yagami," Ryusaki's voice sounded from the other end. "You called. What is it?" 

"I think I found the girl from the picture," I responded. 

"Really?" His voice perked with interest. "I didn't think we could find her that fast." 

"Neither did I but apparently my son, Light, is friends with her brother, Kei," I told him.
