Writers POV:
The next morning everyone woke up and met in the kitchen as Steve and Bucky made breakfast for the team before the others arrived in half an hour. They spend most their time explaining to y/n what each Avenger can do and how they can do it.
"Must say grandpa's you're cooking isn't that bad" Y/n compliments their food with a smirk on her face while Bucky just flips her off behind Steve's back
"So y/n later on today I'm gonna need you to join me in my office just to run through some things is that okay?" Tony asks "That's no problem Tony I'll be there" She smiles at him before getting up to clean up after herself and heads upstairs to get dressed
"Friday play some music for me please" Y/n asks "What would you like to listen to Miss Romanoff" "Surprise me"
A Billie Eilish playlist comes on as y/n lays on her bed staring at the ceiling enjoying the music, She's in such a deep thought she doesn't notice someone entering her room and laying next to her until she looks over to see Bucky
"To what do I owe the pleasure?" She questions the man next to her who answers "Just thought I come see how my buddy was holding up, you doing okay Romanoff?" "I'm doing good Barnes thanks" She replies "Well then in that case get out of bed and come downstairs the others have just landed" Bucky pulls her up and they walk downstairs together.
Y/N's POV:
I see people entering the compound as the rest of us are in the living room waiting, Natasha standing next to me "I'll tell you who's who" She smiles to me
"Hey Mr Stark we're back" I see a young kid walk in "That's Peter Parker he's a new recruit a sweet kid and Starks favourite"
Next in walks a blonde woman "Carol Danvers she's from outerspace but comes to help us out most the time"
"Then you've got Scott Lang he's also new he's a good guy but when he starts talking he doesn't stop" I laugh as she rolls her eyes before introducing the last person
"And last but not least we've got my best friend Wan-" "Wanda Maximoff" I cut her off really loudly
I can't believe it she's here in front of me the woman I haven't seen in a year ever since I helped her escape HYDRA where we were held captive together she's actually here I'm in shock again
I am pulled out of my thoughts after I feel a sharp pain on my cheek, Did she just slap me. I look up and meet her eyes that are not the green I remember now they are glowing red and the room goes so quiet as everyone's gaze falls on us eyes wide open
"Ouch!! Did you just slap me?" I laugh it off but she still looks so angry "Y/N you fucking idiot I thought you were dead, What the hell was going through your dumb brain when you decided to cause war at that stupid base?" She screams into my face with tears welling up in her eyes
"Hi Wanda nice to see you again, I'm fine thanks for asking" A sarcastic tone in my voice "Y/N for one moment can you take this serious" She pleads and I sigh nodding my head
"I knew all three of us were never going to get out of there, someone had to stay and try keep the guards entertained so it had to be me I wasn't going to let anything split you and Pietro up you both needed each other" I explain and she stiffens up at the mention of Pietro's name I look around and don't see him and judging by Wandas reaction something bad happened him
I start to shake my head "No" she just looks me in the eyes and that was all the confirmation I needed before I let a tear fall, I see her move closer and pull me into a hug "I'm so sorry Wanda" I tell her "It's okay, I just missed you so much y/n" She whispers "I missed you to Maximoff" I whisper back and we break from the hug wiping our tears "Must admit you do throw a good slap" I say making her laugh my god did I miss her.
"Now that you two are done there how about you y/n join me in my office we have some work to do Romanoff" Tony interupts us and I turn to walk to his office
"Wait a second why did you call her Romanoff?" Wanda questions Tony but Nat butts in instead "Yeah ummm it looks like we both have some catching up to do" She pulls Wanda away to her room and I close Tony's office door.
