Starr Marie
"Okay you're being so picky right now," Leah says frustratedly. "Your dad told you two weeks ago that this day is coming and you can't even choose your secondary dress?"
I roll my eyes. "Okay. Chill out," I throw my hands up.
Leah has been pushing me for this wedding and ceremony since I told her the day it is happening. When I'm not checking on anyone, spending time with Damon, or helping out— I'm here.
Listening to Leah yap about how important this is.
Honestly, I think that the wedding dress alone would be okay for the ceremony and the rest of the night. But, as from the past... Leah is known for wearing more than one dress at any event.
"My wedding dress is already picked out, but I don't know if I even want to change after that," I say with honesty.
"You have to," Leah voiced her opinion. "Your pictures would be even more beautiful if you have two different dresses for the two different celebrations."
"Yeah, I know that," I agree. "But wouldn't that seem like too much? I mean— this is so stressful. Why can't I just take my wedding dress and live in it."
"You can't." Leah walks over to me pushing the huge baby blu dress behind me. She then pulls me into a hug. "In the end... you'll love all of this and agree that this was the best decision."
I nod my head as she breaks the hug, giving me a smile and I return one back. "Maybe for a different celebration?" I scrunch my nose at the color and the thought.
She nods her head. "Yeah. Maybe you should do white again. Like you're pure into the mafia world. The lady in white."
I let a small laugh out. "As weird as that sounds, I like it. Maybe the Ceremony dress could be more sexy. Wait!" I call out. "What if I wear a sexy white-fitted suit?"
"Damon would probably want to kill every man that looks at you if you wear that," She laughs pushing my arm.
I lend a laugh back in unison. "He better not do that," I joke. "To much would be happening on that day."
"The attack?" Leah ask without thinking.
I nod my head. "Yeah. That's what I was inferring," I say in a uneasy tone.
"Are you scared?" Leah asks me.
I look at her worried expression "I think that the thought of what could happen is scary, but the thought itself... no," I explain. "You could imagine all the bad shit that could and will happen to you... but in the end— we all die."
"That's dark," She says with a worried tone.
I let out a small laugh. "Yeah, but— in a weird way... it's exactly like that. Well, just maybe for me." I validate.
"It's cool," She says with a proud expression.
"What?" I question her. Not truly following what she was trying to say.
She shrugs. "The fact that you are already a pro at the 'mafia life'" She does the quotation hand movement.
I laugh again. "The mafia life?" I question her. "I mean— if you see it that way, sure." I sigh. "Besides... marrying a mafia leader may have lead me to the area where I picked up some lingo."
Leah rolls her eyes in annoyance at my reply. "Okay, obviously you don't see the effect you have on all of us. You changed everyone in a good way. Before you—there were dead bodies everywhere, now... everyone actually savor their humanity."
