𝓲𝓶𝓪𝓰𝓲𝓷𝓮 - just starting to crawl (part two to say something)

𝔀𝓪𝓻𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰𝓼 - underlying mentions of cancer, christmas show, pregnancy announcement and engagement announcement 

𝓭𝓮𝓼𝓬𝓻𝓲𝓹𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 - just like predicted but hoped, leona hoying, sister of pentatonix lead scott hoying, made it through close to her first year of cancer and she made it christmas 2018. however, at the last pentatonix christmas show, not only did leona's boyfriend have a surprise for her but, it seems leona did as well 

𝓪𝓾𝓽𝓱𝓸𝓻'𝓼 𝓷𝓸𝓽𝓮 - i know i never mentioned leona having a boyfriend in the first part but, he exists since he kind of weaved his way into leona's life and they started dating but he was in the military for the majority of the first part, hence why he's only being introduced now. remember, leona is the sister of scott since scott is now (2023) married to his husband mark hoying so it makes no sense to have him dating girls in my one-shots.

leona's pov | the christmas is here ptx 2018 tour 

if i had thought back in july after getting my cancer diagnosis that i'd still be alive by christmas, i would've thought i was off my rocker. but, i wasn't off my rocker because i'm still alive and i've actually recovered well enough to the point where i can travel with pentatonix, my older brother scott's band, again. i've recovered well enough even after my porthole infection and then seizing all chemotherapy that my radiation nurse mollie and rebekah and doctor nathan have predicted that i have until maybe new years of 2020 and 2021 which is extremely exciting knowing that i could have an extra two years after next year. right now, i couldn't help but just feel incredibly blessed with the fact that i was still alive and well enough to be going on pentatonix's full-length christmas is here 2018 tour. 

"...leonnnnaaa, help me, please!" i all of a sudden hear kirstin whine out from her dressing room for my help 

this makes me giggle, along with scott. i then removed my legs off his lap and walked those few paces to kirstin's dressing room to see her legitmately struggling with trying to put in her festive earrings for tonight's show. we both looked each other and then both of us burst out into laughter, how did she manage to fuck up putting in a pair of earrings? 

"jesus christ, kirst. what in heck's name did you do so wrong?" i giggle out hysterically as kirstin just giggled, shaking her head in pure confusion as both of our faces went bright red, we were so red you could see it through our makeup 

"i don't know! it...it just happened!" kirstin laughed as she attempted to catch her breath due to the fact she was needed on stage like, soon 

"well, whatever you've done, i just fixed it. i think the hook of the earring just got extremely tangled in the ringlets on the side of your hair," i giggled softly as kirstin looked at me with a puzzled look as if she couldn't believe i had fixed it so quickly as she too giggled softly 

"oh my god, you did that so fast! thank you leona, you are a lifesaver!" kirstin huffed out as we both giggled whilst i rolled my eyes 

"don't mention it, kirst, just, next time, be a little bit more carefull with shoving your jolly ol' christmas earrings in your ears with less than ten minutes to spare before places!" i giggle as everyone else in the dressing room and around it erupts into laughter
