9 YEARS HAVE PASSED (TagLish)

"Mom, my friends have asked me to visit El Chían's Interactive Galleria in Alynthi, can we attend?"My gaze drifted from the book's pages, curiosity piqued by Adelaide. I set the novel aside and reached for the peach-colored letter she extended. Its soft hue hinted at a gentle message, a clear counterpoint to the urgency that flickered in Adelaide's eyes.

The peach-colored letter unfolded in my hands, revealing a sea of text. I started reading, but the sheer volume soon began to wear on me. With a tired sigh, I offered Adelaide a simple nod, returning the letter without finishing.

The unspoken question lingered in the air – what did it say?

"Absolutely, my darling! We shall head off straightaway, since the grand opening being upon us tomorrow after all. Anything for you, darling."I said, A smile played upon my lips, mirroring hers. Bless her heart, this little one of mine – a master of eliciting a smile even on the most weary of days.

I quickly arranged our private plane to fly us to Alynthi. We didn't bring many clothes since we were just going shopping there again. It's been a few months since we did that, but that's okay. Luckily, Adelaide hates spending a lot of money, even though she's fully aware that she grew up rich.

Our flight from the Philippines to Alynthi zipped by in just four hours. We landed late at night, but luckily I'd already snagged a nice villa for us to stay in. Adelaide was zonked out, fast asleep on my shoulder. I carefully carried her upstairs to tuck her into bed.

"Goodnight, Baby," I murmured before kissing her on her forehead.

"Mom, can i go take a look around?"Adelaide asked, tumango ako at sinabing huwag siyang lalayo dahil baka maligaw siya rito lalo na at malawak ang lugar.

Cian Lee

Just "Cian Lee", devoid of a last name. Yet, my heart lurched. It was him, my ex. The love, even after all this time, still flickered within me. Besides, how could I ever move on? After all, he was my first love, the one who etched a permanent mark on my soul.
