When they got settled in at home her mom said calmly, "Listen I'm sorry we yelled at you in front of everyone but you need to understand that we were worried sick and praying you were still there" "I'm sorry I would've asked but I thought you were gonna say no because you can never agree and I-i-i thought that I wasn't going to be able to have a fun summer with my friends before we move."

"Why would you think we wouldn't have let you hang out with your friends?" her mom asked.

"Because all you guys do is fight! You can never agree on something so I figured one of you would say yes while the other says no, like you do with everything! You guys are so opposite!" Tilly put her filter down and just let it all out. "How do you think all this fighting affects me?! Yeah I'm going to miss you guys, but I'm so glad you two are getting a divorce because I don't think I have any more tears for tonight." Her parents just stood there, jaws dropped eyes wide, tears forming in their eyes. They watched their daughter sit back down on the couch.

"We had no idea how you were feeling. i-i-I'm just shocked, I really am sorry that we don't get along and fight a lot. But I'm even more sorry for how this affected you."
