Laying the pages down onto the table, her brows furrowed as she tried to work out what was missing. There was definitely something missing she could tell you that and yet she couldn't pin what it actually was that was missing. It was stressing her out and irritating her and surely she should be able to figure it out.

Pressing her lips together, she collected all the papers again and pressed them together in a neat square. Hearing the sound of the door opening and a thundering pound of footsteps, she glanced behind her right as a four-year-old little girl ran up to her. She looked more like her father than her mother but she had her mothers smile (something that Derek cherished and thought was the most beautiful thing in the world). She was called Talia which was on Derek's request.

"You'd never guess what we saw!" Her slurred and clumsy words sounded, as she looked up at her mother with eyes so bright and full of excitement and Derek walked in behind her his eyes immediately settling on the plate of cupcakes in the middle of the table. In his arms was another child, a little boy of the age of two and he looked like his mother except for his eyes, he had Derek's eyes. He also had Derek's temper, he was called Aiden (they'd asked Ethan beforehand whether it would be okay and at first he'd teared up but soon given his permission - Stiles wasn't particularly happy about the choice of names).

"What did you see?" Margo asked a lightness in her voice as she smiled down at the child.

"A fish."

"A fish?" Margo repeated, glancing over at Derek who looked ready to collapse into bed.

"It was thisssss big," she added on stretching her arms out as wide as possible. Margo's eyes widened, as she looked over to Derek who strained his fingers to gesture into a much smaller size.

'It was this big,' he mouthed, gesturing to a size no bigger than a slice of cake. Her smile widened into a laugh as she looked back at the stack of papers.

It was no secret that Talia had her mother's imagination and sense of excitement. It was both a blessing and a nightmare.

"That sounds wonderful," Margo mused, right as Talia ran off to cause chaos elsewhere in the house.

Pushing herself away from the table, she turned around and walked closer to Derek so that she could see the sleeping boy who was leaning against Derek's shoulder with his fist covered by a blanket and placed in his mouth. He might have had Derek's temper but he was the laziest and most docile child they'd ever seen.

"How long has he been asleep?"

"Since he got in the car," he admitted, "he's getting lazier and lazier every day," he muttered and she smirked.

"Like someone else we know," she teased, and he turned a mocking glare to him. Reaching out, she plucked the boy from his arms and brought him closer to herself, "you should go wash up. You stink of giant fish," she added on and he scoffed rolling his eyes.

"I do not stink of giant fish," he countered but she was already walking into a different room to but Aiden to bed.
