Trent had been on a high for the last 2 days after Liverpool secured their comeback from 3-0 down against Barcelona to move on to the Champions League final and after the disappointment of losing to Real Madrid last time he wanted to be able to take home the trophy once and for all

But tonight his focus was on his girlfriend who was playing in the second leg of the Europa league semi final after Chelsea's 1-1 draw to Frankfurt and he knew she was insanely nervous for this

Ella was bouncing up and down constantly, she was trying to get rid of any nerves she had before kick off because she couldn't have anything affecting her game today

Today's game was especially nerve wracking because neither Tammy, Mason, Declan or Callum were here with her. The only other original Chelsea academy player with her today was Beth but she wasn't even in the starting 11

That meant tonight really was Ella's chance to show everyone she was not only the best young player in Chelsea but also in England.

As the teams lined up to listen to the Europa League anthem blast around Stamford Bridge Ella looked up toward's the VIP box where Trent was sitting wearing a Chelsea scarf since he still refused to wear the shirt for anything other than a final

He blew her a kiss and she rolled her eyes with a grin, knowing he was here was making her slightly less nervous 

"You ready for this?" Eden asked the young player who grinned back

"Let's do it," She replied and they ran onto the pitch, taking the front two spots for Chelsea tonight

"Eden Hazard and Ella Beckham have been an absolutely incredible partnership all season, scoring a total of 41 goals in all competitions they have started together, and I'm sure tonight we will see many more of those brilliant moments,"

This game didn't look one sided at all, Chelsea were denied a penalty and then Frankfurt had an amazing shot on target that was saved

In the 28th minute Beth sent a long ball up the left wing which was received by Eden perfectly, Eden could see a defender about to reach him so he sent the ball out to Ella who received it and both of them began to sprint up the pitch

There were 2 defenders in Ella's running line so she passed it back to Eden and they turned their attention to him so Eden used this to his advantage and sent it flying through their legs to wear Ella was waiting so all she had to do was cross it into the goal

"Ella Beckham makes the score 1-0 to Chelsea! The England star and Chelsea academy player may have just given her team the lead they need to take her team to the Europa League final!"

The team piled onto Ella and when they finally let her go she turned to the screaming Chelsea fans and pumped her fists in joy, but her eyes landed on Trent who was on his feet cheering and whistling

She kissed the Chelsea badge on her shirt and playfully put her middle finger up at him which made Trent laugh and shake her head

To them the rivalry between their teams was a game more than anything because even though outwardly they played as though they hated each other's teams, they actually had a lot of respect for each other's teams and just liked to annoy each other

Nothing could bring Ella down after that goal and it gave her so much more confidence to keep pushing and strengthen their hold on the game. But it appeared the Frankfurt players wouldn't let her have that

Within the space of two minutes two Frankfurt players got yellow cards for tackles on Ella. First she was pushed over by a Frankfurt player slamming his boot into the back of her shin, and then by another player elbowing her to the ground as she jumped for a header

From the stands Trent was worried about her because even though she was the toughest player he knew, she was only 5'6'' and some of these Frankfurt players had a lot more muscle than she did which they were using to their advantage to foul her and the more it happened, the more likely it was that a real injury would occur

Despite this Chelsea kept their lead into half time

But their lead didn't last long as early in the second half David Luiz made an obvious mistake which let one of the Frankfurt strikers run in behind him and smash the ball past Kepa

The game being 1-1 meant both sides had everything to play for and all they needed was one opening to take the lead but both sides weren't willing to let the others through which resulted in yellow cards to Beth, Mateo, César and two more Frankfurt players

The final whistle blew and it was still 1-1 so the game would move to extra time and Ella's heart began to sink as she thought of the way the Caraboa Cup Final had gone for her. And history looked to repeat itself as the game came down to penalties

Ella lined up with her team and looked up at Trent who sent her a smile and she grinned back. Fran Kirby scored for Chelsea but then so did the Frankfurt player, then César missed but Jovič didn't, Beth scored and so did her opponent

Ella placed the ball on the penalty spot and she scored, and lucky for her the opponent missed which meant Chelsea needed one more and Frankfurt needed to miss

Which was exactly what happened and the entirety of Stamford Bridge was brought cheering to their feet as Chelsea secured their place in the Europa League final

Trent jogged down the steps of the stands and made his way down to the tunnel and out onto the pitch where the Chelsea team was all celebrating

"El!" He called over to his girlfriend who was  busy dancing around with Olivier Groud. Ella met Trent's eyes and she broke out into a smile before running into his open arms

Trent laughed as Ella clung to him like a koala and he spun her around "I did it!" She squealed

"Well done!" He cheered and she leaned back to smash her lips against his

"Keep it PG!" Beth teased and Ella put her middle finger up without breaking away from her kiss with Trent

When they finally broke apart Ella squealed again and threw her arms around his neck which made him laugh "I'm so excited," Ella said "I'm actually playing in the final,"

"I'll be there watching," Trent assured her

"In my shirt?" She asked with a teasing look

"Fine," He laughed "As long as you were mine to my game,"

"Of course I will," Ella rolled her eyes

"And now this season both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ella Beckham will be playing in European finals! Two of the youngest but most talented players not only in England, but in the world and we've already seen them each in several finals and I'm sure there are many trophies coming their way"
