The England Under 21s flew back to London the next morning and had the day to recover in the pools and have massages. Ella spent her day with Kiera and Lara in the pool resting on one of the floats which Trent had decided was the perfect opportunity to annoy Ella again, currently he was trying to push it over

"Trent fuck off!" She called

"Stop being such a baby," he teased and she rolled her eyes. Trent managed to flip the float over and the girls were sent into the water, Ella came up to the surface and swam to the edge. She got out of the water and walked off to join Ben and Demarai in the hot tub while Trent sat with Tammy and Dominic by the pool edge

Everyone else had noticed the change in atmosphere between Trent and Ella since the night before the game, they still argued like usual which could sometimes be annoying but sometimes their arguments seemed more playful and funny but no one dared to question it

Ella was sat on one of the massage tables having her legs rolled out while trying to hide herself laughing at Trent across the room who was being stretched and whined every time his leg was raised towards his head

"I'm not flexible," he complained to Joe

"Then stretch more," he teased and he rolled his eyes

Ella chuckled quietly at their interaction"Hey," she smiled over at Tammy when he hopped on the table next to her

"Hi," he sat down and lowered his voice "What's going on with you? Something's been different with you the past 2 days,"

"Shut up," she rolled her eyes "It's nice to have my rival back, keeps me going don't it?"

"That'll be fun to watch when you play each other," he chuckled

"Well if you weren't on loan you'd play with us," she pouted

"I wish," he grinned "Do you think he's hot?"

"Nah," she laughed "And I can't understand his accent so to me there's nothing there,"

"Fair enough," he chuckled

"Guys!" Dom approached them "Come on, let's head outside,"

"Sure," they said and got up. Dean, Lewis, Trent, Kiera and Ben went along with them outside, Tammy and Ella hung out at the back of the group and laughed at his stupid jokes

"Come on lovebirds, we don't have all day," Dean teased

"Oh grow up," Tammy chuckled "That joke was funny in January,"

Tammy and Ella's close relationship had of course been subject to a lot of teasing from the other players but their friendship had only ever been a friendship

"He's right," Ella laughed and snatched a ball from the ground, she nutmegged Lewis easily and the group laughed. She sat on the bench while Dean, Kiera and Ben tried to show off with their free kicks

The wind picked up and Ella suddenly shivered, Trent noticed and unzipped his hoodie for her

"Have it," he held it out to her

"I'm not touching anything infected with you," she teased

"Ella it's cold," he said

"Yeah sorry we don't get your freezing cold weather down in Chelsea," she said and he sighed

"Just take it so you don't freeze,"

"Alright jeez," she took the hoodie and wrapped his hoodie over her shoulders. His hoodie was massive around her and it took all of Trent's willpower not to stare at her in it, something about her with it made him slightly happier - not that he would ever tell her that

Ella got up, leaving his hoodie and ran over to the boys and tackled Kiera which made the group laugh again

"Sharing clothes now?" Dom asked Trent with a smirk

"This team kinda needs her, I can't have her dying from the cold on my hands," he shrugged

"Trent," Tammy said "She's good right now, you do anything to mess that up and you'll have to deal with me,"

"Alright calm down," he laughed "Are you always like that?"

"For her absolutely," he said "She's my little sister and I love her so much, anyone annoys her or upsets her they deal with me, easy as that,"

"I'll keep it in mind," Trent grinned and Tammy gave him a warning glare. Tammy knew Ella well enough to know that she was in a good place right now and he had noticed that she and Trent were looking at each other a lot more than normal. At the start of the break having them in the same room would cause fights but now it didn't seem as bad and he wanted to know why

As the sun began to set above them they all walked back inside for dinner, they took a table together and Ella and Kiera spent the whole meal gossiping quietly while the boys tried to eavesdrop and flick food at them to break them out of it

After dinner they all went to the games room like every night and watched Lara thrash Emily 6- at FIFA and then Trent volunteered to play. Ella saw her chance to annoy him and took the other controller, the rest of the team looked at each other with a mixture of despair and amusement

Trent managed to draw 3-3 with her in the first match so she obviously demanded a rematch and the second time around she easily beat him 3-1. Ella jumped up and cheered while Trent sulked on the sofa

"I can't be the only one who's seen this," Kiera whispered to Tammy and Ben

"Something's off," Ben nodded "First day he would've stormed off or shouted at her,"

"I don't know what's going on anymore," Tammy said

"Nah I'm not having that," Trent complained and tossed down his controller

"Accept it Liverpool, you suck at this," she teased

"Rematch," he demanded

"Alright," she grinned and they started up again. The rest of the team sighed and some of them left before the game started so they wouldn't have to watch this all night. By the time they had finished it was nearly midnight and the rest of the team had left "We should go," Ella said and let out a yawn

"Yeah," he groaned and stood up. They walked in silence back to their rooms and Ella smiled tiredly at him before closing her door and going to bed

Trent lay sleepless in his bed for what felt like forever, all he could think about was Ella once again. He couldn't deny that she was kind of pretty - actually no, she was beautiful and he knew it, the light brown hair, blue eyes and fair skin, it did kind of attract him

He had spent the past 12 years hating her and now he was able to play FIFA against her without causing a fight, something had changed but he couldn't really tell what and he definitely preferred this to their long fights that did tire him out

These thoughts raced through his mind for ages until it tired him out and his eyes shut
