Afreen
Part 10
Dua stirred in her sleep and turned to get some warmth, the usual comfort and heat of her husband provides, that she was now habitual. Her hair were sprawled on the pillow and some strands were obstructing her view as she turned and rolled a little to get a comfortable position for herself.
Her hands went towards the other side of the bed and found it empty. Shayaan who had come in their room after his morning run
saw his little wife already awake and searching for him with her closed eyes.Something he has seen her doing for the first time. Usually they will be up after the morning prayers but the days like this were hardly available for him to lock in his memory.
"Good morning sweetheart, get up now.. it's seven now.." Shayaan greeted her with an amused smile. Dua had slight pain in her back last night, she was nauseous and had slept early.
"Good morning.." she greeted and smiled as her eyes finally settled on her husband.
Shayaan liked to have run in the mornings and sometimes she would also accompany him after their usual routine morning prayer but it was the first time when she slept like a log.
She had a terrible day yesterday, she had conveniently forgotten that her period date and her menstruation cycle had been delayed due to stress. But yesterday it was like a nightmare for her.
The cramps were killing and she was nauseous.
Squeezing herself more into a ball Dua turned and put her hand under her cheek as her eyes feasted on the fine specimen she called husband.
Even though it was freezing cold outside but her husband was dripping sweat. His veins were prominent as he stripped off the sweatshirt letting it fall on the couch.
"Aap itni jaldi kyun uth gaye. I thought you were working from home." she asked knowing very well that Shayaan had informed her beforehand that he will be working from home for few days.
Something she was wary off.. they haven't spend much time together owning to his work schedule and he would often bring his work home and work in the seclusion in the study.
But when he announced that he would be working from home, she didn't knew how to perceive his words. The first thought that came in her mind was "was he doing this so that he could spend sometime with family?".
Or was it for her?
Her thoughts went from one to other and finally was snapped when she found his strong scent of musk, pines mixed with his sweat reach her nostrils.
Shayaan sat beside her and removed her now tangled knots from her face, not before answering her previous question.
"Bilkul I am working from home but it's your first day at the University. So, I thought why not to prepare beforehand. Now get up before you get late."
He looked more excited then her for her first day, after all he had a way with words and his indirect threat paved the way for her unobstructed education. Dua still couldn't forget how he had found all the information again of her University just to be sure that his wife was getting best.
He had even urged her to look for the foreign universities where he was much more willing to relocate for her sake and had been annoying much to family's discomfort, teasing his mother only to get glared at.
She nodded with a smile. But her husband could still find her uneasiness as he touched her face.
"How are you now? Doctor ke paas jaana hai?" He caressed her cheeks and she cuddled to his hand.
