Part 16
"What are you doing here?" Kiaan asked his friend who just got married few hours back. Shayaan had left the venue after the rukhsati in pretext of some work telling that he would be back in sometime. He having the feeling of alienation from the moment he accepted Dua as his wife.
Everything was so unexpected and sudden that he needed some fresh air to ponder the things.
"I just need some time to grasp the situation Kiaan. Sab bahut jaldi aur bahut galat ho gaya hai.."
Kiaan looked at his friend who was changed, infact the transformation was so much that he had hard time believing that it was the Shayaan Junaid Khan that he knew.
"Kya galat hua hai? Shayaan for god sake, you just got married, you need to be with your wife right now and here you are sulking." Kiaan tried to instill some sense in his friend of years but he also knew that situation Shayaan had been in.
"I... I.. am not mentally prepared Kiaan. Pata nahi kyun baar baar Dua ka wo masoom sa chehra mere samne aajata hai."
Shayaan looked at the trees which were standing peacefully in the darkness of night contradicting his life at that moment. For the first time he wanted to run away, he didn't wanted anything.
No wife, no relationship, no Marriage.
Specially not with Dua. He felt like her innocent eyes spoke more than she could ever.
"Then give her time, give your relationship time. Aisa toh nahi hai ki tum ek dusre ko jaante nai ho. She is your cousin, you have known her throughout your life in some capacity."
Kiaan's words made Shayaan realise how wrong were his words. The only memory he had of Dua was a baby girl barely an year old when he came with his parents to meet her and he always managed to avoid the trip unless his parents forced.
The truth was he was well adapted to his life that he wasn't ready to come back and when he did, he wasn't accepted, that killed a little hope in him to come back.
If it was upto him, he would have never come here. But then not everything was according to him.
"What are you thinking?" Kiaan asked him seeing him lost in thoughts.
"I don't think mujhse hoga.. Kiaan we have eight years of age difference. She is nineteen practically a child," Shayaan gave him his reason.
His excuse maybe lame, but they got him married to a child. Atleast Armeena wasn't a teenager. But Shayaan knew that deep down it wasn't also a problem.
He was just having difficulty in grasping that he has a wife now to look for, new responsibility was bestowed upon him.
"And that child is your wife now and what age difference are you referring, you are not that old as you are pretending yourself to be and it's not that huge. Nisha and I have six years of age difference. Believe me age is just a number. Women are much matured than us."
"We married to save the face of Khans dude and she is forced, tumhe kya lagta hai mujhe pata nahi ki uska kaisa faida uthaya hai, and I hate my family for that."
