The beeping sound of the cardiac monitors. The hints of the wheels of the gurneys as it turns over the floor. The groan of patients who are enduring a direct result of something they didn't expect to do, and those they proposed to do.

It's something I truly wanna hear ever since secondary school. Also, when I had my internship. It was the day I ended up fantasizing about being in the ER treating patients since I am already starting to live the dream.

"Incoming!"

"We need a neuro, please."

I ran to go snatch a gown and gloves and ran with the doctors who went to the entrance of the trauma center.

An ambulance came and they drew out a patient whose body is practically loaded with wraps.

I strolled to check the patient first before they bring it in.

"Linda Castro, 25. Hit by a vehicle. Has various breaks. Pulse is 100/70."

The paramedic kept on telling more about the patient.

I checked the pupils and her reaction is generally excellent.

We got her in the trauma center and examined her in one of the trauma rooms.

"Alright, Linda, follow my finger using your eyes."

I completed examining the brains and she is responsive but there's a brain bleed, I believe.

After they examined her and ensured she's steady and okay for the following steps, they let her. I requested a CT as well and subsequent to taking a gander at the CT, I requested that they book an OR.

"I saw you at the OR. My first time to see you, actually," said Doc Aga who just appeared in the office behind the nurse station.

"I never tried to watch one of your medical procedures since I knew from the beginning that you're great at it," he proceeded.

"However, a while ago, I saw authority with knowledge."

I took a gander at him and wrinkled my brow since I don't have a clue why he is telling me these. I already knewni am brilliant. They don't need to keep on mentioning the obvious.

"I'm asking you again for dinner....tonight." He grinned and it uncovered his dimples and his shimmering eyes.

"Doc Aga, not because my Mom came to praise you means that my opinion about you is same as hers. Also, the dinner, you should know how to ask a lady properly. You suck at it." After saying those words, I kept composing things on the screen.

"Sa 'yo lang naman ako nahihirapan e. Most of the ladies I asked out immediately agreed unang invitation ko pa lang."

"Don't make me one of them. I'm not like them. Treat me different."

I left the workplace and went to the Chief's office leaving Doc Aga.

"Doc Lea," invited the Chief.

"Your Mom came but she didn't visit me."

They're great friends. The grew up together and studied medicine together. They saw each other's wedding. They dreamed a lot of medical researches together, however, sadly, Mom needs to leave him since she has a proposal of fellowship in another hospital which is an incredible opportunity so she took it immediately.

"She's in a rush," I said then gave him the papers I just completed a while ago in the office.

"I heard that Doc Aga's hitting on you."
