8• A Fated Journey

20 6 1

Had I not messed myself up to
my best,
I could not concede until I made
quest,
The fine dirt over it lounging
with ease,
Was not only meant to make me sneeze,
But also to wobble my barren brain,
Almost omitting the memories
in train,
When I held an aromatic wicker,
And mom, a bag genuinely thicker,
Every one there, assigned with
chores,
On our way to a cosy and golden shore,
To behold a dusk and the fading of sun,
Savour the picnic and have more fun.

The more I flip the pages of album,
The more memories start to
blossom,
Again popped up an eventful morning,
Which I had spent by tireless yearning,
To have the breeze of the town edges,
To wash out the strain and winning rages,
But the sky turned out a potent antagonist,
Poured heavily with no cease in its list,
A sketch came up showing sheer disgust,
Futile to me but fruitful for the album vast,
It then drove me insane but now swapped,
To such that I would keep it grin-wrapped.

The next page took me back to the days,
When the porch found me playing with clays,
Though the school uniform I used to wear,
Knows that the school was nothing to fear,
Yet it had seen my frowning gazes,
And now that the album knows, truly amazes
But lastly it took me to another dimension,
When I was dawned by a sudden realization,
That the days are lost in the loop of time,
And the warm days are replaced by rime,
But my next birth seemingly awaits for me,
To win the unwinnable and step into glee.

So many words awfully shunned the alive,
Reminisced days that the cosmos did rive,
Though I came out of that gloom somehow,
That showed me none but void till now,
Now that my cheek and palm grew wrinkles,
I vacantly stare at the stars that twinkle,
Close my eyes to recall the swing,
That was a place for me to sing,
I wait and wait to meet my people again,
Who do not wait for me in this green plain,
But are there where all of us surely know,
One day or the other, we too have to go.
