Hopeless Battle

Chapter 39

Lakshya saw Pia and it broke his heart, he didn't know what was going on but he could understand the atmosphere is very tense. He went towards his wife and hugged her tight , she fell into his arms. He was very much concerned to know what's going on.

"What happened Pia" asked Lakshya

"Harsh is still unconscious after a life threatening attack , Lavanya is somehow asleep and things are going down really fast, I don't know what to do and I did what all I can until now, I am scared that something bad will happen" mumbled Pia in his tight embrace

"Pia try to calm yourself down, everything will be alright and don't stress yourself like this in this time, i am here for you and i will take care of everything , just don't hurt yourself and the baby by stressing yourself out like this" said Lakshya trying to calm her down

Lakshya and Pia started walking towards the room where Lav and Neel was. They saw Lav laying in the bed after she took sleeping medicines , Neel was disturbed but was still sleeping. Pia bend her head slightly on Lakshya's arms, He too could not digest what had happened.

"She is calm for now, everything is crumbling , There is a high chance that Harsh might end up paralyzed, A poison ridden dart was used against Harsh , the medic was able to save him and nothing less than a miracle is going to make things normal" said Pia

"Everything is going to be alright , don't worry Pia , I'm here for you and i will handle the things , you just rest now and lets see how things goes, just don't leave your hope" said Lakshya hugging Pia and trying his best to comfort his stressed out wife.

Lakshya walked out and saw a slightly conscious Harsh , the medic was panicking . Lakshya stayed out of the way of the medic so he could do his job. He could see that things were escalating. He realised that the sun was going to rise and he had to bring things under controls 

Lakshya checked upon his family and saw them sleeping , He let them sleep and continued his works. He wanted to keep things under the wraps until things were clear . He too was concerned about his brother in law but he had other things to do with worrying.

"The whole royal family is worried and slowly the struggle for power will arise, we need to do something , We need to do something for the time, The dirty politics will start to resurface and it will get crazy, you have the power to make decisions in ever way" informed Taresh

Lakshya was in deep thoughts , he knew that if a power struggle happens , his sister's and niece's life too would be in jeopardy . He had to do something when he could . He had an idea of what to do but he knew it would create issues but he have to. 

"I will do something , but at first we need to know what happened from Lav , we need to take care of the intruder too but for now we need to control the current issues" said Lakshya

"Lakshya!" called out Pia and he went to the room . He saw his sister sobbing and hugging his wife. His heart was breaking, he wasn't able to see his family this heartbroken and vulnerable , this was breaking him but he tried his best to remain strong

"Lav , tell me what happened ,  i am clueless of what happened and I did what all I can do under my control to keep things under our controls , I need to know what happened and that too properly , I know its tough" said Lakshya 

Lav narrated what all happened during the attack , how an intruder got in and attacked them. How the intruder kept her away from saving Harsh and Catching the intruder , She was sobbing while narrating what happened. She was holding Pia's hand tight. Lakshya could see how broken his sister is.

"Lav , I'm so sorry that this all happened to you and I wasn't even here for you, I will do my best to make things better for you" said Lakshya and hugged his sister tight. Lav was sobbing in his arms, he wanted to kill every person who made her cry.

"Pia, you need to hear this , the medic is calling you" called out Taresh

"Pia , thanks for handling things when I couldn't , you truly are a powerful queen and the best one too , You have everything that takes to be one" said Lav between the sobs

"Don't say like that" said Pia. She looked at Lakshya and he slowly nodded signifying her to go and that he will handle things with Lav. Pia nodded back , she started walking towards where Harsh was and Taresh was standing near the door. The medic saw her and started walking towards her.

"I am so sorry to say this but King Harsh is paralyzed really bad , I tried my best but there is only a certain extend that I could stop the effect to , I don't think he is in a position to handle a kingdom , don't worry I wont be revealing this to anyone" said the medic and Pia nodded, She had to act tough even though that was getting hard. She explained everything to Lakshya.

"Call in the royal members , there is an important announcement" said Lakshya , he had to do some drastic methods get things under control and that too favourable for his sister and niece.

The royal members were seated around a big table . Pia looked at Lakshya and He reassured Her, Pia sat next to Lav and Lakshya . The royal close family was there and so was other important people. They started talking about the things which is happening over there , the big question was that who was going to ascend the throne . Lakshya looked at his close trustable members , all of them nodded and he took a deep breathe before announcing.

"Queen Lavanya will be ascending the throne" announced Lakshya...

So we hit 145k reads which is such a big milestone for me. I am so happy and I hope we hit 150k real soon(if that happen really soon, I swear I'll update the day that happens).
I know it's been too long since I updated,I did do half of my draft when I was free but I have a hectic school schedule which gives me no time to write, thankfully my last period teacher gave us a small break so here we are
