FA Cup was awful.
Mason felt like shit after that lost and Charlotte could feel it since he arrived back from Wembley.
She didn't think Leicester would end up without the title, not only because she felt like the boys deserved more but because she genuinely thought Chelsea would have it easily. She was wrong.
- Mase, babe - She crawled into his bed after sorting everything downstairs - You were amazing out there.
- Still didn't win - He sighed enjoying the feeling of her fingers in his hair
- Yes and you know what they say, right? You can't win everything. - She whispered - Which means you guys had to lose this one in order to win the Champions League.
- If we can't beat Leicester, how do you expect us to beat City? - He asked and she rolled her eyes
- City can go to hell - She complained - You guys are winning it, if you guys win it, we're taking the best vacation ever - She said shaking hands with him
- Whatever you say - He sighed pulling her closer to a kiss
- Now go to sleep, you deserve the best one.
Tuesday, 18th May 2021.
It was redemption day as Charlotte liked to call. Jess and her sat in Mason's booth, the two of them nervous to the game considering both their boyfriends were devastated after the game not even three days before against the same team.
- You think they will be able to win it? - Jess asked nervous
- I hope so, can't deal with another day of sad Mason - She sighed - I just hope there is no more booing Chilly, he doesn't deserve it.
- I just hope this will have a better outcome - Jess sighed and Lottie agreed
- I even wore a jersey, that's the least they should do.
And they did. The game ended 2-1 for Chelsea and both girls couldn't be more relieved.
Not only would they have happy boyfriends to deal with but also because the nerve wracking moment of the argument that developed after Chilly was brought to the floor for the 100th time that game ended in a good way.
Although Charlotte genuinely thought Mason was about to punch someone.
- I told you it was going to be redemption - The blonde Dutch said after her boyfriend engulfed her in a hug
- You did - He chuckled knowing she would never let it die down
- Now, just one more game and then is the final - She smiled seeing him smile back seeming a little nervous - And I'll be able to say that my boyfriend lifted the Champions League trophy.
- Absolutely - He smirked at her - You coming to Porto right? - He asked her when they were inside her car already on their way to his house
- Yes, I created an entire situation with Amelia so we finish everything on time for me to leave - She smiled back at him before they remained in a comfortable silence for the rest of the way
- Thank you for coming, I know is not your cup of tea without Liverpool in it - Mason said hugging her waist in the kitchen seeing her smile at him
- My cup of tea right now is apparently whatever you're involved - She smiled - Just don't tell De Jong and De Ligt this or else I won't hear the end of it.
- I'm extremely lucky to have you, I hope you know I'm fucking in love with you Charlotte Verstappen.
- Hope you know I'm fucking in love with you Mason Mount.
- To celebration dinner we go? - He asked pecking her lips and she smiled
- Cheesy but wherever you go I'll go - She smirked at him who kissed her one more time that night
- Whoever up there decided I was worthy this girl, thank you very much.
