The apartment smelled strongly of lavender from the diffuser and vanilla from the scented candles. But Juna could only smell the strong cucumber-like scent that came from the moisturizing mask on her and her best friend's faces. The two women sat on the sofa looking like paper ghosts. Min Joo worked delicately on painting her nails while Juna munched on a carrot with her eyes thoroughly studying her work binder in her lap. Her lips pouted in defeat as she found out that the grumpy guy was older than her.

He's only older by a month! That hardly means anything!

Two images involuntarily replayed in her head of that man. The first, when he brushed her off when they met and the second, when he scolded her after she'd simply done what she was told.

Snap!

Both women were startled. Juna picked up the piece of her carrot that had fallen on the page right on top of that grump's deceptive, gummy smile.

"You snapped it in half. What did the carrot do to you?" Min Joo carried on with her nails.

"It talked down to me like I was a kid just for doing my job." Juna took a rather violent bite from the orange vegetable. "Damn jerk."

The other woman closed her bottle of nail polish and began blowing on her nails. "You're still mad about that? I'm sure he didn't mean anything bad by it. What I'd like to know is how good their make up team is. If I had become a makeup artist I probably would've been friends with sooo many idols! I could maybe afford and enjoy a more luxurious apartment to myself."

Juna glared at her, "ah, I see. Getting sick of me already huh?"

"Ani~! I'm just saying."

"Min Joo. If that was your dream, you should've gone for it. Frankly I think being a hotel manager is a really cool job."

"There's no way my parents would have let me. But I guess you're right. I still wish I had your parents. They let you do anything." Min Joo frowned. Juna didn't respond. "Done! Look, look, look. They're pretty right?" Min Joo's smile seemed awkwardly restrained by her mask as she fluttered her fingers in front of Juna.

Juna couldn't help but smile, "ch! You get too excited by pretty things." She closed the binder on her lap and stood. "Okay, I'm going to sleep."

"Good," she slapped her butt as she passed, "get your beauty rest! Woo some idols! And don't forget to add moisturizer!"

"Ah~ that girl is relentless," she chuckled toward the bathroom. Afterwards, when she settled herself in bed she checked her phone just in case she received any texts from her workmates.

Though, more accurately she hoped that Myung Hee would contact her to at least check to see how she was doing. If Juna was the one to contact her just to vent, it might seem like she doesn't have a handle on things. Min Joo claimed her discomfort was a natural reaction to being new. Maybe she was right and time would prove that all this is no big deal. Soon she'll be back at her desk and all will be back to normal.

Juna 's eyes rotated toward her side table drawer. Maybe if she read a little of that book, she'd find something that could help comfort her. She slipped the drawer open and pulled the little book into her lap. Her thumbs nervously tapped at the cover.

What's wrong with me? Why is my heart beating so fast right now?

The idea of reading personal information somehow seemed like an invasion of privacy. It made her uncomfortable. What would she find? She'd go crazy if someone had a book about her.

"No," she resisted. "Eomeoni said only when I had questions," the woman reasoned before opening her drawer again. As she stretched to put the book back she caught a glimpse of one of the tabs sticking out of the side: 수가.

She bit her lip, hesitating. Why would that grumpy guy's name make her think twice? The book bent more as her grip tightened. Creases formed on her forehead.

"Ugh!" She pulled it back to her lap before her legs convulsed and her chin wrinkled in shame. Juna sighed. "I'm not curious!" She rehearsed. "I have a legitimate question concerning my ability to...perform my job at full capacity. And that question is..." Juna struggled for words. "It's..." Her face became warmer as her struggle gave her mind enough time to pity her efforts to fool herself. The uptight assistant's shoulders dropped, her face gave up and found the ceiling, "What is his problem?"

Her finger used the tab to cut the book open at her target subject.

"Oh? The first entry about him is just a list." She read down the list carefully:

- Min Yoongi aka Suga

- Doesn't smile much

- Doesn't talk much

- Sleeps every chance he gets

Juna scoffed, "is that so? I'm not surprised." She continued.

Has no filter; says what he thinks

Often looks to be spaced out

Cynical

Sarcastic. Very.

"Ah, so even eomeoni caught on to his bad attitude. I knew I couldn't have been imagining it. Then again, I usually have a sense about these things." She looked smug, glad to know that she wasn't the only one to gather as much. But she was determined more than ever not to be a pushover. "Chin up! Just because they're beautiful and wealthy doesn't mean they can treat you like a dog."

A knock on the door came.

Juna quickly stuffed the book under her pillow. "What is it?"

Min Joo popped in and tossed something at her feet. "You left this in the bathroom." It was her work binder.

"Ah, thanks. I must've forgotten it." She picked it up and set it on the table next to her. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight," Her best friend yawned as she left.

Juna waited a bit before bringing out the journal again. She recalled her godmother's words and protectiveness surrounding the little thing so she couldn't help but treat it like the world's biggest secret. That was close. I should get some rest. Who knows what unexpected tasks I'll be given tomorrow. And then she remembered the work schedule for the next two days. Tomorrow afternoon BTS will be staying at a hotel in Incheon. The next morning they'll be co-hosting and performing at some teacher's celebration event. Juna wasn't sure what to expect from the overnight work schedule, so it did raise some anxiety. How she hated unfamiliar things.

With a heavy sigh, the woman returned the precious book back in her drawer before shutting off the light.
