Brooke pov

I was working at pops betty and jug were talking to pop while I was making betty's milkshake I walked out of the kitchen and gave betty her shake

"He's facing 20 years of that weird meatloaf that they serve prisoners so barring an eleventh-hour miracle I was kind of hoping for his last meal in riverdale that you could make his favorite" jug said betty looked at me

"Fried chicken, cornbread, onion rings and..an orange freeze if memory serves" pop said smiling

"Its very rain man of you pop" jug said pops let out a small laugh

"I've been doing this a long time thought i'd be doing it until the day I die" pop said looking down

"This is... Unacceptable" betty said

"What?" me and jug asked

"Just everything pop have you officially sold the diner?" betty asked

"The contract's being drawn up"

"Do not sign it okay do not give up either of you I can fix this all right I will fix this okay bye" betty said running out of the diner jug looked at me

"Well ok" I said looking at jug

The next day

Brooke pov

I was sitting in a court room next to jug

"Ms blossom you may proceed with your statement" the judge said

"Your honor I speak for myself and my mother when I say we forgive Fp jones for the part he played in covering up my brothers murder and we humbly ask the court for leniency. Fp's guilt has been blown out of proportion to satiate my farther suicide denied us closure" Cheryl said

"As much as I sympathize. I can't ignore the quality of Mr.Jones crimes there were no extenuating circumstances.." the judge said I grabbed jugs hand

"My farther threatened him I overheard them talking in daddy's study daddy said he would hurt jughead and Brooke if Fp didn't comply..... Is that extenuating enough?" Cheryl asked

"In light of these revelations I suggest that we take a step back and reevaluate certain aspects of the case at which time we will revisit the sentencing adjourned" the judge said I smiled jug stood up.and grabbed fps shoulder

"Is that a win?" Fp asked hugging jug

"Its a delay so yeah" jug said hugging back
