Chapter 6

Three days have passed of the two not contacting one another. Rantaro was on top of his blankets his arms crossed under his head waiting for the smaller boy's message to come in, but it never did. He was used to people messaging him first not the others way around unless it had something to do with one of his sisters.

Rantaro laid in bed; it was 2pm. He had woken up late that day seeming how he had school the following week. He just wanted to stay in and get enough sleep as he could, but ofc when you have siblings especially if you're the oldest on your back that's hard to do. His brain kept wondering off to that boy he was with that night and why he wasn't messaging him since he left his number did he not know about his reputation with them ladies? He was one of the popular lads at their school along with a few others of his friend group.

Doesn't he want me to? N-not in a weird way but like to be friends? Especially after what happened that night? Wouldn't he want to replenish the way people perceive him?! Why won't he contact me? Why don't I ask if he wants to continue the series we were watching together? No, I want him to come after me.

He sat up scratching the back of his neck thinking. There was knock on his door following the repetition of his name being yelled from behind the door.
"RANTARO! RANTARO! RANTARO!"
The yelling continued until he finally game in groaning.
"What Lily?!"
"Aren't you gonna eat something?! Sky, Lucy, and I are making sandwiches since we're hungry again!come on, we haven't seen your ugly face as much as we used to!"
He hadn't eaten anything or gone out of his room the last two days well he'd walk to the kitchen and the bathroom if he had to do his business or make himself something to eat.
He sighed,
"fine, I'll be there is a second."
"Okay!"
He could hear pitter patter running down the hall then becoming silent. He hadn't noticed how quiet the house has been since his sisters were always so loud when he was around. His parents were always out working so he spent his free time with his siblings, but all he did was lay in his bed and think...

He got up and put on a shirt and socks and unlocked his door and dragged along his feet to the kitchen.
"You look miserable! What the heck happened to you?! Take a shower too! You stink more than you usually do," Lily said holding the mustard bottle over her sandwich before squeezing it onto her sandwich. He rolled his eyes unbothered and walked to the fridge where the other two were taking out ingredients.
"Hey taro, will you help me with a project? It's for school"
"Lucy, why did you leave it for last minute? You do this every summer."
"I know! It's just I'm always too lazy and I just like leaving everything last minute. It's not my fault I'm like this! Hmph!"
He just sighed and nodded.
"Fine, but later."
He grabbed a few things and made himself a decent sandwich with chips on the side. They all ate together on the couch while they watched TV with the others who were just eating chips and drinking cherry Caprisuns.
While they were watching Tom and Gerry Rantaros phone dinged. He didn't think much of it so he left it alone till commercials came on. His eyes widened as he felt his heart pump and he felt butterflies in his stomach. He held the phone with sweaty palms. He got up and speed-walked to the bathroom to answer Shuichi's message..
Shuichi: "Hey Rantaro, do you maybe want to hangout today? Only if you want to."
Rantaro:"*typing*"
Rantaro:"Sure, I don't mind. Where do you want to meet?"
Shuichi : "I was thinking going to the new carnival that opened up by the mall; what do you say?"
Rantaro: "sounds good to me"
Shuichi: "Perfect!"
