Amane looked at her with worry "i'm not serious, i can tell the difference between reality and fiction" he sigh in relive "but! i am working as an apparition's assistant, you know? i can't help imagining a special encounter!" "special? how?" Amane asked "well, in this play for example a poor girl was held captive by a evil spirt .a hot guy fall's out of the sky and kill the spirt and the girl and guy fall in love isn't that romantic?" "the guy would be dead before they can be together who can survive a fall from the sky....." i stated monotonously "really i'm being killed in that daydream?" Amane looked at yashiro pouting "no more dangerous ideas!" Amane snatched the magazine from yashiro "besides you don't need daydreams like that, when you got me" he cupped yashiro's face bringing it closer to him and there it was again the sharp pain in my chest i got up and wanted to leave when Amane held my hand "what wrong mizuko?" his smirk is really disturbing sometimes! "wow...." "do you know him hanako-kun ,mizuko-chan?" "we've never met in person but he must be a member of the minamoto clan!" Amane still fixed his gaze on the minamoto....uh kao? no kai? no.... ah kou! "what's that?" yashiro asked her eyes filled with curiosity "back when the day was darker than now, apparitions were called youkai, and we were way stronger than we are now. the youkai was dispelled by a brilliant exorcist minamoto no yorimitsu, this boy's ancestor" i proudly said "wow someone did their home work! "Amane patted my head as he complimented me "hmm to protect people from wicked apparitions, that's a minamoto man's job! so i'm gonna exorcise you! leaving me with the water spirit mizuko-san which i will find for her later "hahaha no need to find mizuko-san...... she's already here" i smiled eerily at him "i would like to see you 'exorcise' me" it was quite fun seeing someone get their hopes up "tch! get ready hanako-san and mizuko-san!" he jumped up and smack his umbrella on Amane's shoulder but Amane caught it "exorcise me? i doubt you could pull that off" "you think so?" suddenly electricity shot out paralyzing him "too bad, hanako once your down your partner mizuko-san also gonna die" he fell to the ground as his legs gave out i walked to his side to see if he was ok and he was it wasn't that fatal to kill him suddenly minamoto-kun tried smack the umbrella at me but i blocked it with my fan and pushed it off. he pulled out the weapon and said "this is the raiteijou, an exorcism tool passed down in the minamoto clan for generations! its a sacred staff that transforms its wielder's spiritual power into a demon-slaying lightning" he looked at Amane "you have to be a real moron to touch it directly i tilted my head to the side "how about focus on the fight instead of bragging about your weapon!" i charge at him and manage to cut his hand and leg a little making him jump back ,i turned to Amane and tend to him when minamoto-kun took advantage of it and charge at me, man... his god damn injured and he still can run? can't he see that both cuts are deep and blood i flowing out like a river! "this is the end!" "stop!" i looked up and saw yashiro jump in front blocking minamoto-kun from me and Amane i took this signal to heal Amane i gave him a peck on the forehead curing him from paralyze as Amane sat up rubbing his right hand "woah you should not jump in! front of people like that its dangerous! warn me before you....jump....in like that.... who are you?" "yashiro nene, first year high schooler! i'm hanako-kun and mizuko-chan's assistant and friend! if you keep being mean to hanako-kun and mizuko-chan, i'm gonna get mad!" "huh? but their like super, ultra evil apparitions..... so i have to exorcise them for the sake of the school and ....." i shook my head in disapproval, we're harmless! "but their not bad apparitions! they even saved me!" yashiro's shoulders was grab by minamoto-kun "th-that's bull... nonsense! their not just any apparition hanako-san of the bathroom is super, ultra wicked evil spirit mu grandma only barely managed to seal away! plus, he use a kitchen knife as a weapon. that's proof that he used it when he was alive he took someone's life with that knife!" i clenched my fan its not just any kill it was..."and mizuko-san the water spirit she.... killed one of her classmates with a sharp fan and not just any fan it was a fan used as a weapon in the taisho era (i don't know what era or so... so i just put taisho era from demon slayer)and it was a family heirloom and she tainted it with blood, it's disgrace! she took a life of her classmates! not any stranger!so she's more worse than Hanako" that was when my anger burst, classmate bullshit more like bully and disgrace?! it was self defense! i was about to lounge at him when Amane held my hand stopping me "that can't be..." yashiro doubtfully replied "your being tricked , senpai! you can't trust them! i sure their just-" "the cat's out of the bag now." Amane held yashiro while pointing his knife at minamoto-kun's neck he jumped back but i placed my fan beside his neck "move and i'll cut your head off, my fan is sharper than knifes" my voice was dangerous and eerie i pressed my fan against minamoto-kun's neck as it drew blood "man, i wanted to keep it a secret for a while longer." Amane let go of yashiro and step back and i drew back my fan allowing minamoto-kun to stand i and i joined Amane's side still fixing my glare on minamoto-kun "come haku-joudai, its true that i killed someone. but god told me..... if i could fulfill this role, my sins will be forgiven and same goes for mizuko.....so we can't die now! sorry about that!" Amane's haku-joudai wrap around him giving him a cape and he looked at me then i nodded "your free to play now aka-joudai...."i stated playfully as i drop minamoto-kun's blood from my fan and instantly changed from (tsueshiro color) to red "i've no clue what you're talking about." as Amane flew up and went to to balcony fence "wait!" minamoto-kun smack the fence in attempt to hit Amane while Amane dodge it every hit "stay still, damn it!" he yelled on the last attempt Amane caught it "ne don't your hand hurt?" a bolt of electricity came out again but this time he was not hurt and he stab the knife playfully at minamoto-kun while my aka-joudai charged at the staff knocking it off out of minamoto-kun's grasp as Amane send playfully stabs at him. my aka-joudai heated up bumping at his leg causing him to jump up "hey , boy can give me that staff i really like it, give it to me and i'll let you go " "don't take me lightly. i'm not gonna run!" "oh okay" Amane pushed minamoto-kun down and position the knife at his head, minamoto-kun closed his eyes in fear while i flicked his forehead "got you!" i held my aka-joudai to stop them from killing him "stop! release!" i commanded and minamoto-kun's blood came out from my aka-joudai and they returned to their normal color "we win!" we said simultaneously "now, this is dangerous , so i better seal it." Amane picked up the staff and placed a seal on it. "whoaaaaaaa what the hell do you think you're doing to my family treasure?! i can't get it off! take it off!" "no we won't! more importantly..." i took his hand and turned it "i knew it. you haven't mastered that staff at all! the lightning hurts you too, power beyond your ability brings nothing but destruction, minamoto-kun" i touch the palm before letting it go i won't heal it since it was own fault "none of your business i don't mind dying if i can save someone!" "hmm no need to rush you'll be a great exorcist one day" Amane released his haku-joudai and hid his hand behind his back, i had suspicion of it "i've got high hopes for you. but your a weakling right now" Amane punched minamoto-kun in the gut i winced at the act "that was dirty!" he groaned and dropped on the ground "winner! yay!" as Amane celebrated his victory i just shook my heat at his childishness "for now..."i grab his hand and examined it before kissing his cheek again "mind your injuries now" i smirked at his blushing state
hanako-kun pov
that was two kisses in a day! i can't believe it maybe being injured sometimes is not so bad "is he ok?" yashiro ran to the boy's side "i doubt he would have given up otherwise. he seems tough, so he'll wake up in a short while" as i begun to walk away i grab y/n's hand and pulled her along "this staff is dangerous should we hide it while we can?" yashiro had concern in her voice "are you worried about me?" i suddenly felt my hand squeezed and realize that y/n's grip tighten before she pulled her hand away from mine ,she's been sensitive when it come to me saying flirty words to yashiro or to her after it, could it be that she's jealous? "i-i'm worried about you and mizuko-chan! your my friends" i see, yashiro you can make friends with murderers " i turned my head to see y/n's hair covering her face so i couldn't see what expression she was making suddenly she looked up and smiled "don't take it seriously i'm just kidding" and then she walked away " looked at the boy before replying to yashiro's first question "that boy will be fine as he is, even if he does come back he won't be able to exorcise me plus, we welcome the excitement but i think there will be more excitement soon" i walk away catching up to y/n
after a while i found y/n playing with the mokkes i admired her playful state her smile is brighter than the sun it really lights up my day but it soon came to an end when i called her "y/n! there you are i was looking for you!" i was expecting a happy smile from her but she just return me with an emotionless stare "what do you want? i thought your with yashiro?" i was taken aback her voice was cold and venom was present in it i've never seen her like this "y-y/n are...you ok?" i was worried about her "you've been so sensitive towards everything and-" i was cut off by y/n snapping at me "like you care! its none of your business! and stop bothering me and if you think i'm a nuisance then you can leave or whatever!" she crouched down gripping on her hair i walked over beside her and patted her back "you...ok?" i didn't know what to say and to top it off i've never deal with her like this so i'm completely lost "i don't know what i'm feeling i forget what i'm feeling i don't feel sad nor happy i can laugh and joke in the day but when it end i forget how i feel but i feel pain...." that immediately got my hopes up that kind of feelings when they like someone but i needed to make sure "do- do you like someone?" i tried to not sound suspicious but i cursed myself for stuttering "i don't know but i think so....." she mumbled soft enough for me to hear "just let me be i'll return to my old self by tomorrow" she got up and left for her boundary i hope she likes me than my chance of her accepting my confession is confirmed
