"YOU KNOW, IT'S GOING TO BE REALLY awkward now when liv comes over," lara jean told margot, as she poured some fruit loops into her bowl. the oldest covey girl had broken up with josh the night before, and lara jean wasn't happy about it. "and kitty is gonna be really upset."
margot let out a heavy sigh. "so i'm supposed to stay with josh because of you, liv and kitty?"
"no," she shook her head. "i'm just saying."
"it's not like he would come over here that much once i'm gone, anyway." margot shrugged. "of course liv will, though. don't worry, it won't ruin your friendship."
"i'm not worried about that." lara jean hummed. "i know it won't. but liv and josh are just really close." she watched super carefully as her sister pressed the start button on the coffee machine. margot had always been the one to make the coffee, and lara jean never had, so since margot was leaving for scotland in six more days, she supposed she'd better know how. "how many cups of water did you put in there? and how many spoons of coffee beans?"
"i'll write it all down for you," margot assured. "in the notebook."
they kept a house notebook by the fridge (which was of course margot's idea) and it held all the important numbers, schedules and kitty's carpool. they also occasionally wrote notes to each other when someone needed to remember something.
