( LARA JEAN )
THE THING ABOUT THE MOST RECENT TWO days of my life is that they were hectic. if i had to put it into one word. starting with the first day, when peter kavinsky was mailed my love letter— and so was josh, and so was lucas— but luckily, kenny's wasn't because it was addressed to the bunks at camp, and john's wasn't because it was addressed to his old house. the whole hatbox was gone.

but even more fortunately— liv's wasn't mailed. it was still tucked away neatly behind the picture frame— as it should be. but, that whole situation just gave me an excuse to read it again. i was so, so close to taking it out from its envelope and reading it— if josh hadn't rung the doorbell. josh. oh god, josh— the whole time i had been thinking about how my friendship with liv would be ruined if she got her letter, but what if it was still ruined because josh got his? and what about margot—? all i could think about was avoiding confrontation. so i did what any rational person would do! i jumped out of my window.

no, i didn't attempt suicide— i just needed to head to the corner cafe to clear my head.

then, everything got even worse because peter kavinsky was there, too— and then i had to endure one of the most awkward conversations i think i had ever experienced in my entire life— explaining to peter about the letters. plural.
