Kai, Jay, Cole, and Zane quickly kicked the doors open to Chen's Noodle House. They saw their friends all sitting in a booth together, it looked like they were waiting for the boys to come. Their position from the left was Lloyd, Quin, PIXAL, and Skylor.
Skylor noticed their arrival. She got up and walked towards the boys, "You guys are late."
Kai rubbed his neck sheepishly, "We got a bit distracted, hehe..." The other guys nodded their heads in embarrassment.
Skylor chuckled, "Come on, we don't want the others to wait any longer than they have."
She led them to their table and the rest of the group finally noticed them. When Skylor got up, the rest thought that she had customers to attend to. They weren't wrong, but they weren't right either. Lloyd spoke up, "What took you guys so long?" He complained, "We've been waiting for the past half an hour." He frowned.
PIXAL corrected him, "Actually, Lloyd. We were waiting for only 10 minutes." She said, not realizing that Lloyd was exaggerating.
"Lloyd was just exaggerating, PIX." Quin told her.
"Oh." PIXAL simply said.
The rest of the group sat down and now their position from the left was Lloyd, Quin, Zane, PIXAL, Skylor, Kai, Cole, and Jay. Kai spoke up, "Sorry about the delay. We got a bit sidetracked." He apologized.
"Changing the subject," Cole started, "What meal did you prepare for today, Skylor?" He asked.
"The usual." Skylor replied, "Puffy potstickers, high-quality noodles, sushi, and lots of others."
Some waiters came and placed the cooked goods on their table. Just like Skylor said, Puffy potstickers, noodles, sushi, cake, and lots of other good foods were placed on their table.
"Woah," Quin awed, "This is a feast. I thought we were only eating lunch." She said, taking a puffy potsticker and taking a bite out of it. Her eyes widened in surprise, "Mmm."
Skylor laughed and took a puffy potsticker herself, "Well, Kai informed me last night that they were coming with a new friend, so I got to work to make sure that you get the feast of your life." She finished and ate the whole puffy potsticker in one.
"You didn't have to. I just met you and you're already being nice to me. Thank you" Quin thanked.
"No thanks necessary. This is my job." Skylor reassured.
"By the way, your food is amazing, Sky." Quin winced, "Mind if I call you that?" She asked.
Skylor nodded, "Sure. I don't mind."
"Hey! I thought I was the only one who called you 'Sky', Skylor." Kai jumped into the conversation.
Skylor laughed, "Sky is my nickname from everyone. You, however, call me 'hot stuff' all the time." She reasoned with the hothead.
Kai scoffed, "But you are hot." He mumbled.
Everyone at the table laughed. Cole decided to speak up, "I told you that her food is good, Quin. At least now you know that I wasn't lying." He laughed.
Quin nodded, "I didn't think there was anything this good." She chuckled. Lloyd smiled at seeing Quin happy. Everyone was having a good time, eating and chatting. Quin then said, "I need to go. Be right back." She stood up and left to go to the loo.
Lloyd was looking at her the whole time. He looked back at the others and saw that they were looking at him with teasing smirks. He pretended to be clueless, "What?"
Jay snickered, "Are we gonna talk about it?" He asked.
"Talk about what?" Lloyd asked, pretending to not know what was going on.
