Ben and Amy have made it back from the club and it is now 1:00 am and they are just chatting about the night.
Ben- I can't believe I got you to drink and actually like it.
Amy- you didn't make me drink but your right I did enjoy tonight I've never drank alcohol before.
Ben- Wait for real ? Not even a sip of something from a parent or at a party ?
Amy- nope my parents don't really drink least not much around Ashley and I I'm not sure why and I am a teen mom don't forget so I didn't go to many parties. If I did go to a party I didn't drink cause of John and Ricky when we were together...
Ben- you don't know why your parents don't drink around you ? Or even have an idea why ? Seems kinda weird to me my dad loves his wine. He has a whole wine cellar in our basement. It's kinda one of his hobbies.
Amy- I didn't know you guys had a wine cellar and no I don't I've never asked them and they never bring it up to anyone or at least not me or Ashley.
Ben- huh that's a little weird don't most adults like drinking and going out with other adults to drink?
Amy- yea they do just not mine not that I've ever seen. Maybe when they go out with friends they drink? It's not like I go out with them much or really ever did least not in my high school years.
Ben- yea I kinda experimented with alcohol in high school especially when Mercy passed.
Amy- not only did you experiment with alcohol but drugs as well.
Ben- woah no no I never experimented with drugs only pot that doesn't count.
Amy- what do you mean pot doesn't count ? It's a drug?
Ben- it's barely a drug and might I remind you it is legal in California.
Amy- I know it's legal in California but..
Ben- no buts it's legal right ? So it's not on the same level as drugs like cocaine or heroin.
Amy- well obviously it's not but it's still a drug that alters your state of mind but whatever you say.
Ben- so I'm guessing you've never done drugs before ?
Amy- of course! I've done OxyContin, steroids, meth I had a dealer and everything in high school. I would also on my break at the nursery smoke a joint. Fun times.
Ben- very funny I don't know why I asked the question I already knew the answer.
Amy- yea you definitely did I had no fun in high school it was a hard time but I'm glad it's over now.
Ben- I agree with you there high school was hell. But do you wanna continue our fun night? (He says holding up the little bag of ecstasy).
Amy- umm.. i don't think..
Ben- come on let's bang out drinking and drugs in one night. Plus it will help you forget about John.
Amy- why would I want to forget about John ?! Sure I miss him but I still don't wanna forget about him.
Ben- okay okay maybe not forget about John but you could forget about Ricky for a little ?
Amy- Ben if Ricky finds out that I did drugs let alone got drunk the night I left him he will be livid so will his parents and mine. He could keep John from me and that's the last thing I want. So no but if you want to do it feel free have fun disappointing your dad.
Ben- I've already disappointed my dad Amy so doing ecstasy won't change anything. Cheers (he says about to take the pill).
Amy - WAIT !
Ben- what ?! You said feel free you can't stop me so don't try.
Amy- I'm not gonna stop you.. Give me one
Ben- what ?
Amy- give me a pill I've already disappointed everyone so I guess your right doing drugs won't change much.
Ben- okay here (handing Amy a pill)
