"You knew didn't you?" Diona asked her grandfather seriously
*sigh* "Can you blame us though?" Archie said with a defeated sigh.
"Look at this family. It's so fucking toxic and we didn't want you to grow up in this household. Even as a baby, they were making marriage deals with other...business partners." Archibald said
"So yes Donut. We knew. We were the ones who made the deal with Maxim." Archibald finished
"He loved Esme and I used that to my advantage, I don't know why he loved Esme because everything down there has been out of business for years," Archibald said grimacing
"Thank you. You know you can say Mafia leaders, right? I already know." Diona said while lightly chuckling
"SO you're not mad?" Marigold asked
"No, being here for this amount of time and I already want to commit a massacre," Diona said with an exasperated sigh.

"How did Dad turn out like that? So sexist and insensitive...while you're both so not those." Diona asked
"We ask ourselves that every day. We didn't raise him like that. When he took over the Mafia, he just changed for the worst. Then he met Esme who in a way was a business deal. They never actually loved each other. David was having an affair behind her back the first year of their marriage, then the second child came along and I guess he stopped." Marigold answered
"Why do they neglect Mason? There's something going on in his head. Something happened to him." Diona said actually worried about his baby brother.
"He talks about a brown-eyed monster. He says it hurts him because he screamed for it to stop but it didn't. He wouldn't tell us who or what. Just that he was scared of it. He can't even sleep." Archie said in a sad tone
"The family didn't know he speaks because they're never around him. They just push him aside for their jobs. The twins' Brett, Rhett, and Elijah are the only ones who make time for him. The rest including Esme and David just tell him to 'be a man and suck it up.' How could they say that to a child." Marigold said in a sad tone
