I've always wondered what it would be like if we'd never met.
Would I be in love right now? Would I still be with Derek? Would I be spending my days thinking about how I deserve better?
These thoughts plagued my mind all the time. Other questions found their way into the mix though. Questions like: does Yvonne like me? Will she ever be with me? Am I her type?
But, none of that ever reaches my mind anymore.
You and I answered all these questions together. You answered by loving me, being with me, and holding me in the darkest of times. I answered them by taking a leap of faith with Derek's dare, and going the distance.
I took the initiative, and you took the time.
I was a fucking idiot I swear. Not being able to get you from the get go. But to be honest, we're here and we're together. We're going to make it in this world, whether you like it or not, because that's what i promised you as a friend and girlfriend;
To always be there for you.
