I just woke up to get dressed for work. James wasn't next to me. But then he walked in and said," Where's my present?''
What?
" Where.Is.My.Present."
I thought to my self
Ugh! I forgot it's his birthday and I forgot his present. See now, James is a real strict man. I can't run away or divorce him.He will go out there. And find me. Like a prey of his own. And he'll abuse me.
He grabs me by the wrist and drags me to the kitchen.
I scream,"Stop Stop! I'm sorry! I'll buy you a present!"
You should've remembered your own husband's birthday.
After he hurt me I got dressed, sobbing, hurt. I just want someone to love. Someone to love me.
I covered the cuts and bruises with my uniform for my job. A coffee shop. Nothing much. Just a place I like to be. Anywhere but around James for God Sakes.
