Chapter 12

"Mom can I have lava cake for dessert" Hope asked.

"Sure honey" I said.

"Ok what's going on " Destiny asked.

"What do you mean" I asked.

Jocelyn piped in. "Were eating out on a school night and your letting Hope have sugar."

"Shut it Jocelyn" Hope said.

AJ chuckled.

"Well I do have some news " I began.

I told the girls about the meeting.

"Isn't that good news" Destiny asked.

"It is, but I won't be home as much."

Destiny, Jocelyn, and Hope shrugged. "That's fine." "Sure." "Ok."

I looked at Ava. " Ava."

She forced a smile. "Sounds good mom" She said before excusing herself to go to the restroom.

"She's just having a teenage moment" AJ assured.

I smiled, hoping that was true.

"Good morning lovelies" I said greeting my family.

I sped to the fridge to make a homemade caramel machito.

"Honey what time will you be home " AJ asked.

"5:00, so it's your turn to make dinner and please no take-out" I said.

AJ grinned. "No problem dear."

"Great. I'll see you guys later " I said.

I made it to the forway and realized I forgot my keys.I turned around and AJ was behind me with my keys.

"Thought you might need these " AJ said.

"Thankyou."

"And this " AJ said giving me an awkward kiss.

We smiled at each other. "See you at dinner" I said.

Note to self. Schedule a date with my husband.

After our line was approved,Miss.Wanda and I used some of our loan to expand our team and purchase an office space.

"Good morning" I said to the team.

"Goodmorning" They echoed.

In my office I found my assistant Bella organizing my desk.

"Morning boss" Bella said.

Boss, I will never get tired of hearing that.  "What's on the agenda for today. I asked.

"You have five interviews for the Ceo position" Bella said.

Gross. "Ok."

"And at 2'oclock you and Miss.Wanda have your promotional interview at The Lex."

"Awesome" I said.
