Madeline's family had always been friends with the warrens. So when their home had something unsettling happening inside, they knew who could help. Little did they know the reason for these problems was their own daughter. Madeline had been so fascinated by the warrens cases that it became an obsession. This caused her to bring things into this world that have not walked the earth ever before. Luckily, the warrens were able to help before anything horrible happened. But for Madeline something stuck with her, a curse or as Lorraine said a gift. She was able to sense the demonic among other things too. Since this gift could be helpful, the warrens let her join them in hopes she would use the gift for good.
