the immediate thought of "just lock the doors and drive." entered robert's mind before he quickly shook it out.

letting out a slightly, hopefully not that noticeable chuckle, robert shrugged before answering. "he got another ride last minute."

he turned towards mattia. "that's ok with you right?"

mattia shrugged as well, deciding to let go of his confusion about the whole situation.

"yeah i don't give a fuck." he said nonchalantly before putting his seatbelt on and leaning back in his seat.

"let's go."

mattia's face dropped.

it was almost comical.

"what the fuck are we doing at celia's house."

"uh..." robert gave mattia a nervous smile which in return had the raven undoing his buckle without a second thought.

"wait!" robert quickly locked the doors before undoing his buckle as well and turning to face his friend.

mattia shot him a glare. "robert i swear to God if you don't unlock the car-"

"can you just hear me out real quick?" rob asked exasperatedly and mattia raised an eyebrow.

he stared the younger down for a couple of seconds before slowly letting go of the seatbelt buckle and leaaning back in his seat, crossing his arms over his chest.

"this could be your chance to prove yourself mattia!" robert started, his eyebrows furrowing just the slightest when mattia immediately started to shake his head.

"nope, i'm out of here. whatever stupid plan you guys tried to come up with—im not fucking falling for it." he quickly said before harshly unbuckling his seatbelt.

"cmon' mattia!" robert tried again making mattia looked ahead annoyed. "he misses you." the taller boy said softly.

"no he doesn't."

"yes he does-"

"he basically told me that he wants nothing to do with me." mattia cut him off.

rob rolled his eyes. "he was obviously lying then dumbass." he retorted.

mattia gave him a look.

"i'm just saying—you miss him, he misses you and you're the one who fucked up. don't pass up your chance to make things right man."

it was silent for a couple of minutes as the older teen stared stubbornly out of the windshield, before he ultimately ended up rolling his eyes and looking back over towards his friend.

"whatever just let me out the car so we can go."

robert looked down to hide his satisfied smirk before wordlessly unlocking the car door and getting out, waiting for mattia do the same before locking the doors again, the both of them heading toward the house.

"why the fuck is mattia here too? him nor kairi were ever invited." celia asked lily, her tone judgemental as she gazed over at the boy.

the girl only shrugged, her attention going over to robert who had just entered the house with mattia.

"ugh—should i kick them out?" the dyed haired girl asked, to which lily quickly shook he head no.

"no celia, don't let them know you're affected. just act like you don't care and ignore them." she said, making celia roll her eyes.
