Social Media Can Be A Bitch Sometimes

Ranboo turned on the monitor of their computer in their own office. Yes, they had one on the second floor to do any work they might have or use the computer for fun. It was the end of the week and now winter/Christmas break.

Snow falling outside painting the ground in fluffy white clouds. The outside was cold and frigid so they stayed inside. They opened discord and chatted with Tommy and Tubbo on a call.

He scrolled around on YouTube, searching for something interesting to watch when he stumbled upon something. He clicked on it before stopping it from playing and started talking to the other teens.

"Uh, Hey, I just found something on YouTube that we could watch. Here, I'll start screen sharing." He clicked some buttons before a recording of his monitor was playing for the two(2). He moved the mouse onto the youtube tab and started playing video titled, 'Three High Schoolers play original song for school event'.  It showed a recording of their performance they had done on Monday, the video quality a bit raw but otherwise good. The mic was able to pick up Tommy's shout which was assumingly ok for the trio. It was awkward watching themselves.

The video ended with the crowd loudly cheering and a close up on the three of their faces. Ranboo looked at the views it had. Over a million views in a few days. How impressive is that.

Ranboo smiled and scrolled down into the comment section. It was mostly filled with people supporting them and saying how amazing they sounded. They continued scrolling when they saw comments that the comments started to become rude and hateful. Some of them saying that they sounded like shit and how they shouldn't be performing. Tommy told them to turn it off and did so.

"Hey, just ignore what those people say. They're probably just jealous. Besides, social media can be a bitch sometimes." Tommy said calmly. Tubbo nodded. Since the two were streamers, they were liked but that mean that they didn't get any hate. People always try to find reasons to hate the content creator or cancel them. Sometimes going out of the way, pushing boundaries and doxxing them. It made Ranboo nervous that people do this and had concern for their friends and siblings.

"Hey, don't think about it too much big man! But look! We're practically famous!" Tubbo says, trying to cheer the tall teen up. Ranboo smiles softly. He appreciates his friends. He turned off the screen share, seeing no point of it being on and scrolled through Amazon. He wanted to get something but didn't know what yet.

While his friends chatted, he found a plush that caught his eye. It was a zombie piglin from Minecraft but in plush form. He clicked on it and clicked 'buy now' and was informed that I the transaction went through and would arrive within four to eight(4-8) business days. You could say it was an impulse buy, but who was gonna judge him?

Five(5) days went by and Eric a package to Ranboo. He knocked on the teens door. "Hey Ran', you have a package." Ranboo looked from their spot at their desk and stood. They walked over and grabbed the package from their dads hands. "Thanks for grabbing it." They thanked. Eric nodded and closed the door behind him, leaving the teen alone.

They went back to their chair and grabbed a pair of scissors. They cut the bag open and places the scissors down on the desk and grabbed the contents from inside.  They then took off the plastic covering and started at the plush. The stated back with dead eyes.

Ranboo raised it slightly so it was above his desk, still keeping eye contact with it, and threw against the desk and watched as it bounced off and onto the ground. He stared at it more before breaking into laughter and picking it up. He cradled it like a baby as he continued laughing and started to wheeze from laughing so hard.

He called Tubbo on discord and was answered with a confused face when the brunette saw Ranboo's red face.

"Heh- I have-AHEM-Sorry. I got this plush and I threw it. And-and it bounced, and it made laugh." He smiled and he chuckled through his sentence. Tubbo sputtered into laughter himself as Ranboo did it again to show what he meant.
