1 am. The sun had set in Mondstadt long ago.
You would've gone home... if your superior wasn't so rough on you. That's right.
The Cavalry Captain, Kaeya Alberich.

"How's work coming along?" he crept up on you as you looked at the files assigned in his office.

"Oh... good...I am quite tired though... haha..." you look at him, hoping for mercy.

"Too bad I need these for today" he taps the paper with his hand, leaning in.
You've been recognizing a certain sadistic tendency he has.
To overwork you, to see you struggle.
Did he hate you? Or was it some twisted interest of his?

"You can handle it, right?" his voice interrupts your thoughts.

"Yes, but I was just wondering why I can't do these in the mornin-"

"And why are you questioning me?"

You gulp, looking at him from your chair. He could make you lose your spot at the nights in the blink of an eye... yet you continued.

"B-because, you can pick anyone to do these... so why is it always me?"

Kaeya looks at you with a certain curiousness, trying to figure you out.

"Ahaha. Was I too reckless?"

"Excuse me?"

The captain whispers in your ear, making you jump-"have you noticed?"

A sense of yours asks you to pull away; as if he could take you out at any moment... because he could.
Yet for a strange reason, you choose to stay at his side.

"Noticed what, sir?"

His scent puts you in a haze, his raspy whispers brushing against your neck.

"My affection for you"

Your mind goes blank as he speaks.

"Who knows what a fine young lady/guy may be doing at these late hours of night? Running off with some other man, I suppose." he shifts his posture, caressing the back of your head with an unexplicable feeling.

This romantic conversation felt... slightly off.

"But ah ah ah! Not you. You're here with me" you can feel his grin behind you as he pulls away.

"Which makes you exclusively mine at the moment"

"How come? Let me remind you I am a knight" you try standing up for yourself.

"Let me remind you how weak you are!" Kaeya starts pacing around-"you wouldn't be able to resist it if I were to grab you, slap you... or kiss you"

He finally stands in front of you, gazing with delight on his eyes.
"Would that be so bad though?"

"Ah, I... well..." nothing comes up, you just can't think of an answer.

"I'm sorry for being so rough on you all the time, sweetheart" he presses your cheeks with his hands, violently bringing your face closer as he beams with a certain darkness.

"I can't help it when you just bring out that side of me~"
