"Are you sure you can carry this bag on your own?" Seri asked Yoongi once again.

"For the last time, my left shoulder is feeling fine right now. My right hand and shoulder work just fine, there is nothing wrong with them. And the bag is light." He reassured her once again.

Their childhood homes were in the same neighbourhood in Daegu. They lived two houses apart. Yoongi's home and lifestyle here were very different from what he had in Seoul. His parents were hardworking people who earned just enough to bring up two boys and cater to their own basic needs. He had a rough and poor childhood because of which he had to do part time jobs from a young age while juggling school and songwriting.

Seri's mother was better than them financially but only slightly. This could be because she was a single woman who only had one daughter to look after. She was a chef by profession and worked at a local restaurant in Daegu.

"As you say, Pop Star. Say hello to your parents from my side. I will meet you all tomorrow in the afternoon. We are all having lunch together tomorrow." Seri told him and drove a little farther to her home. Yoongi could clearly hear when she switched off the ignition and took out her luggage from the car because it was later in the night and the street was pin drop silent.

He stood in front of his home and contemplated whether he should just put the code and go inside or ring the bell. His past traumatic memories made him ring the doorbell. They lived in a small two bedroom home, one was shared by him and his elder brother while the other was used by his parents. His young self had seen some of his parents 'private activities' which scarred him for life.

The door opened quickly. His mother was standing on the other side of it. Her face was beaming with happiness from seeing her youngest child after so long. He loosened his grip on his luggage and let it fall on the floor.

"Eomma." He stepped forward and pulled his mother in a hug. He could hear her soft whimpers.

"Don't cry, Eomma. My beautiful mother should always be happy. You look so pretty smiling." He wiped off her tears gently with his finger and kissed her cheeks.

"Stop buttering me. Nothing and no one is going to save you from our wrath, young man. Not even Seri. We haven't seen you since more than eight months. Eight whole months. You only live 300 kilometres away from us but somehow never have time to meet your old parents. And your schedule is always jam packed, we can never visit you because of it." His mother complained to him.

He took her hand in his own and guided her towards the couch in the living room.

"I am sorry, Eomma. I know I am not a good son but I promise I will try to be a better one from now on. I missed you and Appa so much. But it's very difficult to find any free time. Please forgive me." He could feel his eyes welling up but he controlled himself from crying. He did not want to upset his mother.

"It's okay. Now that you are here, I am very happy." She forgave him easily and smiled.

"There you are. Hurry up and wash your hands. Dinner is ready." His father came looking for his wife and son.

Yoongi greeted him and went to his room to freshen up.

Growing up he had a healthy relationship with his parents. The kind that was expected to exist between Asian parents and the youngest child of the family. He was allowed to get away with more things than his elder brother. They were easy on him when he did not do very well in school. However, things took an ugly turn when he told them he wanted to pursue music full time. They told him that there was like a one in million chance he would make it in the KPop industry. At that time Yoongi hated them for not believing in their own child's potential but now as a grown man himself, he understood where they were coming from. They just wanted to protect their child. His elder brother was in college when Yoongi joined BTS back in 2010 as a trainee. There was no way his parents could have supported his stay in Seoul as well as his brother's college fees. So, he did what any other hot headed teenager would do, he ran away from home. He knew it was wrong of him to do that but his dreams were too big to be enclosed within the four walls of a two bedroom home in Daegu.

"Yoongi-ah, the food is getting cold." His mother's voice could be heard faintly from the kitchen.

He quickly removed his jacket and put in on his bed. He set his luggage down near the cupboard and went to the washroom outside his room to freshen up.

"Everything looks delicious." Yoongi started eating without wasting any more time.

His parents had made Bulgogi, Kimchi Stew and fried fish. He devoured it eagerly.

"I missed home cooked food." He sighed happily.

"You are still eating food from outside?" His father questioned him. He was looking at his son with a look of disappointment.

"We can't help it, Appa. We never have anytime to cook and we are rarely home. Since we announced the tour last month we have been working like crazy day and night. Everything has to work out flawlessly in April." Yoongi told them.

"Look after your health. You are not a teenager anymore. You will turn thirty soon." His father grunted.

"Yes, Appa."

The family ate the rest of the dinner in silence. After dinner they moved to the living room.

"When will Hyung come back?"

"He wanted to be here but he is working overtime." His mother informed him.

"I thought I will not be alone when I became old because I have two sons but God had other plans for me. My elder son works in Daejeon and my younger one in Seoul." His father reminded this to Yoongi once again. He at least told this once to both his sons whenever they visited home.

"Appa, how about you both move to Seoul with me instead?" He suggested.

"How can I leave my home like this? Our family has lived in Daegu for generations. You and your brother are the first ones in our family who left this city." His father argued.

"Okay, Appa. But can you please move from this neighbourhood now? I have talked to two real estate agents here in Daegu. They have sent me pictures of some good houses in safer locations. I want us to move there." Yoongi told him his plan.

"What about this house?" His mother asked.

"You can keep it empty or rent it. Do with it as you please. I just want my parents to be safe in my absence. I want you people to worry less now that I am capable enough to take care of you."

Yoongi's father put his hand on his back and patted twice.

"My son is all grown up now."
